Gran Turismo 5 meets "The Fastest Corvette Than Ever"

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 in Tokyo

Dubbed as "THE FASTEST CORVETTE THAN EVER", the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 is not just the fastest of the Corvette range, but it claims to be the fastest American-built car built by General Motors. With the Supercharged LS9 6.2L V8 OHV engine that releases a mind-numbing 638 horsepower, I'm impressed to say that the ZR-1 is the ultimate Corvette ever made, with a high price tag.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 in Madrid

In Gran Turismo 5, I even got to taste the fastest Corvette ever made at the cost of 184,800 Credits and the required A-Spec/B-Spec Level of 15!

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 at Red Bull Hangar-7

Since Gran Turismo PSP, released in late 2009, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 (C6) is the main character car because it was shown in the cover. In Gran Turismo 5, it's up to you to decide the fate of the legendary ZR-1. You can tune it to the max, take a picture in replays or even in Photo Travel (since this is a Premium Tier Car), customize the ZR-1's exterior, or better yet, perform a Racing Modification out of this! Most GT5 players who owned the ZR-1 love its Racing Modification because it resembles more like an LM Race Car.

Corvette ZR1 Racing Modification rests in Gion, Kyoto

My maxed out ZR1 has a power output of 840HP, 1226kg weight, and Performance Points of 625 while my own maxed out ZR1 RM receives a max power output of 831HP, weight of 1100kg (which is lighter than the original pre-RM ZR1), and Performance Points of 688. It's up to you to configure the settings of both the ZR1 and the ZR1 RM that best suits your personal preferences.

Blitzing through the highway at midnight!

You don't have to ask me why I paint the ZR1 RM's exterior in Black because Black is much more suitable for my Corvette ZR1 and it gives this American beast a sinister look that made it more scary to look at. I am very pleased about driving "THE FASTEST CORVETTE THAN EVER", which is the Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 model. It's a wonderful GT5 car I can try since GTPSP and its RM (Racing Modification) model made it more like a formidable LM Race Car.

Corvette ZR1 runs deep

Just like what the description said "if the Corvette is the king of American sports car, then the ZR1 is the king of Corvettes" because the Corvette ZR1 is THE FASTEST CORVETTE THAN EVER. I'm very happy to drive this one on this game because it's one of my favorite high-performance cars offered.

New Dodge Charger

2011 Dodge Charger

2011 Dodge Charger interior

The latest generation of the Dodge Charger sedan is just the upgraded version of the blockbuster sedan that carried the legendary muscle car name. Despite most fans think that this was just a big minor change, the company claims that this is its full model change, meaning that the blockbuster Charger sedan reaches its latest generation.

The new Dodge Charger received a killer look on the front and a bold new rear lamps on the back that has a DODGE emblem spelled it out. Although the design was heavily based on the original Charger muscle car, the sedan form and FR layout made this a fun-loving sports sedan made to ease out of the boredom. On the inside, the new Charger is heavily redesigned. The new Charger is packed with even more conveniences suited for the aggressive driver such as Uconnect, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, 6 premium speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, and more features offered on this ferocious beast.

Just like with other Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler models, the Dodge Charger is offered with the new Pentastar V6 3.6L engine aside from the legendary 5.7L HEMI V8 engine. This new V6 engine on the new Charger is capable of releasing 292 HP of power and the fuel economy of 27 MPG highway. The 370 HP 5.7L HEMI V8 engine equipped on the Charger comes with the new Fuel Saver Technology, similar to Honda's VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) technology. This technology allows the V8 engine to run on four cylinders, maximizing its fuel efficiency for the long and winding road.

My thoughts about the Charger:

This sports sedan is a captcha, made for thrill-seeking humans and not for robots. We don't lie, that was from the television ads. The new Charger is the leader of the human resistance and its available for real test drives.

Not only the new Dodge Charger is a best bet for the thrill-seekers, even law enforcers love the way this Charger fits as a cop car. With the Chrysler 300 is fit for gangsters, the Dodge Charger is fit for law enforcement. Think of it like good and evil come clashing each other across all nations.

I gotta admit that this latest Charger gets even more badder than its predecessor and its FR layout still retains to make it more exciting for American car fans worldwide. Unfortunately for us, it's going to take some time for CATS Motors to bring the new Charger soon, just like what happened to Nissan Motor Philippines when they bring the Teana.

Intelligent, sharp, bold, powerful, and intensive. These are some of the words that best describes this latest Charger. One thing left, you may want to find some ramps and reattempt the best moments from the Duke boys and the General Lee as seen on the Dukes of Hazzard. I would glad this car still got the heart of the General Lee and I might end up saying YEE-HAW!

"Sarap maging matangkad! Iba talaga pag Curefoods!"

Happened on the March 4 episode of Bubble Gang;

- What if you stole something from the burning building and the guard caught you off guard? That was the Bubble Gags on that episode

- This guy's proving that make-up is too gay for a man like him

- Bureche deals with the picture of Justin Bibbo that Cheche obtained from Justin Bibbo, especially the apple.

Bureche's holding a picture...

...of Justin Bibbo

Bureche thrown the apple to Cheche, then she ripped Justin Bibbo's pic. Suddenly, a text message showed up and it says that this picture has a dedication written by Justin just for Bureche. You should have think twice, Bureche...

- What would you do if you trade your best friend to someone else?

- Bubble Gang does Purefoods Star Hotdog! They spoofed the commercial of Purefoods Star Hotdog as Curefoods Pa-Star Hotdog! MMM! Sarap maging matangkad! Iba talaga pag Curefoods! LOL

Bubble Gang does Purefoods Star Hotdog!

- Court hearing on the rape case from plaintiff Ms. Madlangpuri. The court hearing gets even more eccentric and even more messy. The verdict? He'll text it. XD

- Does a pharmacy sells poison?

- Exorcism against an evil spirit, the hard way...

- The nurses took aim at Dr. Tsansing for revenge

- It's annoying to see people using a high-tech tablet as a phone and camera, pretending to shy away but getting attracted to food, and female chaperons with different hairstyles and make-up for the wedding. Good thing, there's Bonggang Bonggang Bongbong to rid these annoying stuff on Sumbong Sumbong kay Bonggang Bongbong!

- Moymoy Palaboy and Roadfill in Toni Basil's Mickey!

Ohtistic Aerobics again...

(YAWN), what just happened on the March 4 episode of Lokomoko U?

- Another week of exercise with the OA girls on another Ohtistic Aerobics!

- Barangay Hall gags

- A puppet joins the senate hearing in the sketch called "Puppet Hearing"

- Time to "time travel" back to the stone age folks, because there was another B.C. Bisihan episode! We learned how cavemen invented the door. Face it cavemen, even with the door closed, snakes can come in! HA! HA! HA!

- The kinds of fishes invaded "Dula-Dulaan" in another round of Bata Bata Tayo'y Tumula!

Alpha Bert satisfied our appetite!

TAPA!

RICE!

Another Alpha Bert adventure happened on the March 4 episode of Banana Split. When a woman noticed someone who ate everything, she has nothing left to eat. NOTHING LEFT TO EAT? Alpha Bert's here to feed you!

It's a record. Not just one but two words featured on this Alpha Bert episode! The first word is APA, then add the letter T and it's TAPA!, then another word is ICE CREAM and remove the word CREAM and add the letter R to the ICE word and it's RICE! TAPA and RICE! Two words in one day! Alpha Bert satisfied her appetite!

What happened on my blouse!

Then, Ate Etang read a letter from a fired kasambahay regarding stains on her amo's blouse. Could stains be any worse? Ate Etang's advice is this; if you can't remove the stains from the blouse, go to Baclaran and buy three blouses that is three for 100 pesos. Replacement is much more better than removing stains the hard way.

コナミの3つのBEMANIゲームと超電磁砲(レールガン)の2つのOPテーマ - 100のヴィ学

Dance Dance Revolution X2

jubeat knit

REFLEC BEAT

Three of Konami's BEMANI arcade games such as "Dance Dance Revolution X2", "jubeat knit", and "REFLEC BEAT" are the most enjoyable arcade games for the young guys and gals who are hanging out on most arcade game centers just for fun. Those three were highly addictive not just the tense gameplays but also the songs played. The question is, what those three Konami arcade games had in common? One simple answer:

Those three featured two Opening Theme songs from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun!

only my railgun

LEVEL5-judgelight-

Hmm...That was interesting. Three of Konami's BEMANI arcade games featured these opening theme songs from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Dance Dance Revolution X2 and jubeat knit featured "only my railgun" by fripSide and REFLEC BEAT featured "LEVEL5-judgelight-" that was also sung by "fripSide" as well! Unbelievable, no wonder I got hooked on Railgun because these two Railgun opening theme songs were featured in these Konami arcade games.

Unbelievable! That's what I get from getting hooked on this anime series, which is the spin-off from To Aru Majutsu no Index.

If I'm back and if I check in most arcade game centers, especially Festival Supermall's X-Site, I would go try these arcade games and choose that Railgun song!

That was my 100のヴィ学 about how the heck these three Konami arcade games featured songs from Kagaku no Railgun.

Anyone checked it out?

Audi RS3 Sportback

2012 Audi RS3 Sportback
An absurdly late arrival in the Audi A3 range is the high-performance version of the A3 Sportback that is even more better than the S3 Sportback. The Audi RS3 Sportback is the latest addition to the Audi RS lineup, which consists of incredibly high-performance Audi vehicles offered such is the TT RS and RS5.

With the fire-breathing 2.5L 20V engine, the RS3 accumulates a mind-numbing power output of 340 PS/5400-6500 RPM and the torque output of 450Nm/1600-5300 RPM. Overall, the RS3 Sportback's top speed reaches to about 250km/h and it reaches 0-100km in just 4.6 seconds. The standard transmission for the RS3 Sportback is a 7-speed S Tronic transmission that allows the driver to switch either in Auto mode or in the enjoyable Manual mode.

My thoughts about the RS3 Sportback:
Is the arrival of Audi's spellbinding RS3 Sportback a little too late? In my highest expectations, I think Audi brought this hot hatch a little too late because of their hectic schedules.

Despite that, I think that the RS3 Sportback is one major major fun-to-drive hatchback because of its high-performance 2.5L TFSi engine, S tronic transmission, quattro technology, and everything that most European car addicts want to be tempted by the seductive power of the RS3 Sportback.

Once you step inside, you maybe undergo several WTF (what the fudge) moments when you take it for a spin.

And Cruze CRDi has landed...

2011 GM Korea Chevrolet Cruze

What a stroke of luck for those who are waiting for the diesel-fed Cruze to arrive in the Philippines for a long time. It seems that TCCCI has finally launched the Chevrolet Cruze 2.0L Diesel variant and this is what we've been waiting for!

Scoop:

Lucky for you, GM Korea sold this variant and we happy to see the Korean-made Cruze come equipped with this diesel engine, packed with 150 PS of power output (eh? the Korean-spec Cruze Diesel packs about 163 PS of power) and it's mated with a six-speed AT.

Pricing starts to a modest 1,288,000 Philippine Pesos, which is a not bad pricing, and best to hurry up because of its limited availability. First come first serve!!!

Sportage R GDi Turbo!

2012 Kia Sportage R T-GDi

Kia's smart crossover, the Sportage R, received the much awaited GDi turbo variant for the South Korean market. This is some kind of an aggressive expansion to its lineup.

Scoop:

About that, the Sportage R GDi Turbo is packed with the turbocharged Theta II 2.0-litre Gasoline Direct Injection engine. This turbocharged GDi engine packs up to about 261 horsepower and the fuel economy to a frugal 11.2km/L (T-GDi 2WD variants). It comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Ms. Ginia Domingo, please add this to your queue of upcoming Kia models in the Philippines! For those who didn't know who's Ms. Ginia Domingo, she's the new head of Columbian Autocar Corporation, the official Kia distributor in the Philippines! I hope she got my memo and hopefully she get it right about bringing the latest Sportage to the Philippine market soon!

Hold that up, the Evo's not dead...yet

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
Premium

Yesterday, I read the internet articles saying that Mitsubishi plans to kill the Evo for good. Now, when I wake up, I read something interesting;

And according to the Twitter from Mitsubishi Motors:

Production of the current Lancer Evolution continues as planned.
As for its successor, regulations and market feedback will dictate its engineering package & architecture.

MMC has kept the Lancer Evolution sedan evolving as the brand's highest performing model in the global market. However, as the market's needs and demands change, MMC is considering not advancing the Lancer Evolution concept in the same way as before, but to find a different direction for the Lancer Evolution model to evolve. The new direction, the technologies involved, and corresponding products will be disclosed in due course.

There you have it folks. The Mitsubishi Evo's not yet to be called "La Ocean Deep", but if the times demand it, the Mitsubishi Evo will end up being not the Evo of the yesteryears. As always, the Lancer Evolution is "our spirit, our evolution", it will keep on evolving into more exciting ways or something different....

Hyundai Accent Wit

2012 Hyundai Accent Wit
Since November 2010, Hyundai launched the fourth-generation Hyundai Accent (known as the Verna or Solaris) targeted for guys, providing this compact sedan a new concept term "Guy's License".

Now, in March 2011, the 4th generation Accent is now offered not just in the much-awaited 1.6L VGT diesel engine variant, but it marks the addition of the 5-door variant called the Accent Wit.

The Accent Wit offers the same "Guys License" concept of the sedan now in the spaciousness of its hatchback body. The Hyundai Accent Wit targets the likeliness of the Toyota Vitz, Honda Fit/Jazz, and the Suzuki Swift.

Not only the Accent Wit hatchback offered in the new 1.6L Common Rail Diesel VGT engine, but also in a 1.4L VVT and the high-performance 1.6L GDi engine (sourced from the Hyundai Avante MD). The entry level Accent Wit 1.4L variant may come in a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed auto while the diesel variant may come in a 4-speed auto or the -gasp- 6-speed manual transmission. The Accent Wit GDi variant only comes in the standard 6-speed automatic.

You may already know about the stats of the Accent's 1.4L VVT and the 1.6L GDi engine, but since the 4th-gen Accent now comes with the 1.6L VGT diesel engine, allow me to tell you the scoop of the Accent's latest offering. The 1.6L VGT diesel engine offered on the 4th Generation Hyundai Accent (now with the Wit hatchback) has a power output of 128HP/4000RPM and the torque output of 26.5kg-m/2750RPM. The fuel economy of this engine can accommodate up to 23.5km/L on the Accent Wit VGT 6MT variant.

My thoughts about the Accent Wit:
The kind of 4th-generation Accent we want is now here and not only the Guys Only Accent comes with the new 1.6L CRDi-VGT engine, but also comes with the fun-to-drive Accent Wit hatchback! If only HARI would bring the diesel-powered Accent and the Accent Wit hatchback to the Philippines soon, we might enjoy more out of this latest offering!

Come on Hyundai Asia Resources, we are waiting to have the CRDi-VGT variant of the "Guys License" Accent but not just that, bring us the Accent Wit hatchback complete with the 1.6L CRDi-VGT engine and 6MT! Come to think of it, I really want to have this diesel-fed hatchback version of the Accent because with diesel and 6MT combined in the Accent's latest addition, this could be the fun to drive Korean hatchback ever, scaring away both the Toyota Vitz, Honda Fit, and the Suzuki Swift. Consider this a GUY'S SPECIAL.

Kuya Jobert shows off his guitar skills

Tough luck finding the perfect tone, eh?

In "Damoobs ni Kuya Jobert" on the March 3 episode of Banana Split, RR Enriquez showed up her picked-up guitar to Kuya Jobert and Kuya Jobert's teaching her how to use the guitar. It seems Kuya Jobert shows off his guitar talents in front of us but the search for the perfect guitar tone ended up in breaking the guitar. LOL

Pokwang as Mommy Dionesia Poohkyaw

Looks like Pokwang's reprising her spoof on Manny Pacquiao's mom, Mommy Dionesia, on some sketch called Mommy Dionesia in Love. It seems that the mom of Manny Poohkyaw falls in love with some driver. While at the car, the driver told Mommy Dionesia Poohkyaw that he's looking for some present for his girlfriend. Too bad for Mommy D to find her true love.
