Super GT 2014 finale


Twin Ring Motegi, the setting for the final round of the 2014 Super GT Season and on the season finale of Japan's much loved touring car race, racers are on their final leg and they're fighting themselves through the finish line, whenever it takes.

After spending their last 53 laps to reclaim themselves as winners and survivors of this season, it's time to find out who won at the final round.

In the GT300 category, the winner goes to the #11 GAINER DIXCEL SLS driven by Katsuyuki Hiranaka and Bjorn Wirdheim while 2nd place goes to the #31 OGT Panasonic PRIUS driven by Morio Nitta and Koki Saga and 3rd place goes to the #4 GOODSMILE HATSUNE MIKU Z4 driven by Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka.

In the GT500 category, the cream of the crop, it was the #23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R, driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli, that came first followed by the #37 KeePer TOM'S RC F, driven by Daisuke Ito and Andrea Caldarelli, and the #18 Weider Modulo NSX CONCEPT-GT, driven by Naoki Yamamoto and Takuya Izawa.

Time for the overall standings...For the 2014 Season, the GT500 champion for this season is the #23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R, driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli and the GT300 champion for this season is the #11 GAINER DIXCEL SLS driven by Katsuyuki Hiranaka and Bjorn Wirdheim.

Super GT 2014: Thailand



The first ever SUPER GT race to be held at Chang International Circuit in Thailand was a spectator-worthy experience for the Thai petrolheads who turned out to be big fans of the SuperGT race and for the first ever race in this new circuit, which is the seventh round of this 2014 season, the #36 PETRONAS TOM'S RC F, driven by Kazuki Nakajima and James Rossiter, is the winner on the GT500 class while on the GT300 class, the winner goes to the #3 B-MAX NDDP GT-R driven by Kazuki Hoshino and Lucas Ordonez, the first ever Nissan GT Academy graduate.

Highlights:

So far, the #36 LEXUS TEAM PETRONAS TOM'S is in the lead on the GT500 standings while the #4 GOODSMILE RACING & TeamUKYO is still standing at the top of the GT300 standings. Super GT 2014: Suzuka

#36 PETRONAS TOM'S RCF

In case you missed last week's Super GT 2014 match in the Suzuka Circuit, here's the quick sum up on who won this round. In the GT300 category, the winner is the #60 TWS LM corsa BMW Z4 driven by Akira Iisa, Hiroki Yoshimoto, and Shinya Sato. The 2nd placer is a #31 OGT Panasonic Prius driven by Miro Nitta, Koki Saga, and Yuichi Nakayama. 3rd placer is the #7 Studie BMW Z4 driven by Jorg Muller, Seiji Ara, and Augusto Farfus. In the GT500 category, winner goes to the #36 PETRONAS TOM'S RC F driven by Kazuki Nakajima and James Rossiter. 2nd placer goes to the #23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli. And lastly, 3rd placer is the #18 Weider Modulo NSX CONCEPT-GT driven by Naoki Yamamoto and Frederic Makowiecki.

Highlights:



On the GT500 Driver Rankings; the #23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli are still in 1st place overall with a total score of 60 while in the GT300 Driver Rankings, it's the #4 GOODSMILE HATSUNE MIKU Z4 driven by Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka retained their 1st place overall with the score of 56 pts.

The next race will be held on Thailand on the 5th of October, 2014.

Super GT 2014 - Fuji



The 5th round of this year's Super GT season takes the racers back to the once prestigious Fuji Speedway and despite the drizzling conditions, the racers never stop racing until the winner is named. At the Super GT500 category, it was the #18 Weider Modulo NSX CONCEPT-GT that hailed this round's winner while at the Super GT300 category, the winner goes to the #61 Subaru BRZ R&D Sport.

Super GT 2014 - Sugo


In the fourth round of the 2014 Super GT held at Sugo, there's no wonder that one of the finest racing drivers won't hold back in the middle of the racing battleground and 79 laps later, winners do exist in Sugo. In the GT500 class, the winner is the #1 ZENT Cerumo RC F piloted by Yuji Tachikawa and Kohei Hirate, posting their 1'14.832 best lap time. 2nd place goes to the #37 Keeper TOM'S RC F driven by Daisuke Ito and Andrea Caldarelli and 3rd place goes to the #17 KEIHIN NSX CONCEPT-GT driven by Koudai Tsukakoshi and Toshihiro Kaneishi.

In the GT300 class, the winner goes to the #88 MANEPA Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 driven by Manabu Orido and Takayuki Aoki, while 2nd place goes to the #65 LEON Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 driven by Haruki Kurosawa and Tsubasa Kurosawa, and 3rd placer goes to the #21 Audi R8 LMS ultra driven by Richard Lyons and Tomonobu Fujii.

The next round of the Super GT 2014 season will be at Fuji Speedway this 10th of August.

Super GT 2014 - Autopolis


Looks like with summer officially starts in Japan and in the third round of the Super GT 2014 season, summer doesn't get even hotter than this! With 24,400 spectators arrived at Autopolis for this round, the racers' tension never felt even more suspense than ever.

HIGHLIGHTS:



In the end of round 3, the winner of the GT500-class race is the #23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli while in the GT300-class race, it's a win for the #55 ARTA CR-Z GT driven by Shinichi Takagi and Takashi Kobayashi.

Now, it's time for the overall driver rankings and on the GT300-class, looks like GOODSMILE HATSUNE MIKU Z4 driven by Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka were in the lead by 40 points while in the GT500-class, it's the #12 CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R driven by Hironobu Yasuda and J.P.L. De Oliveira that sits in the top of the leaderboard by around 42.

Next time, can summer racing get even hotter on Sugo on the 20th of July?

Super GT 2014 - Fuji


In the second round of the Super GT 2014 championship, it seems that Fuji Speedway's jam packed full of spectators as they witness the best drivers from the GT300 and GT500 class slugging against each other to show who rules Fuji Speedway.

In the GT500, the winner is the #12 Calsonic Impul GT-R driven by Hironobu Yasuda and J.P. L. De Oliveira while in the GT300 class, the winner is the otaku-favorite #4 GOODSMILE HATSUNE MIKU Z4 driven by Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka.

Super GT 2014 - Okayama


The 2014 Super GT season kicked off at Okayama and it seems that this year's race is a big one because for the GT500 class, they're all new because this season sees the first appearance of the new NSX GT500 racing machines as well as the Lexus RC GT500 machines. This year's going to be more exciting than the previous years but even with new machines this year, the fun still remains.

The #4 GOODSMILE HATSUNE MIKU Z4 driven by Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka won the first round in the GT300 class while in the GT500 class, the new Lexus racing machine driven by Daisuke Ito and Andrea Caldarelli, the #37 KeePer TOM'S RC F, is the clear winner. What a great way to kick off the new season, eh?

So, both the HATSUNE MIKU Z4 and the KeePer TOM'S RC F kickstart the 2014 season. Next race will be in Fuji, this May 4th.
