The Mecum Auctions Seattle

In a cloudy and rainy Friday afternoon in Seattle, I went to the CenturyLink Field Event Center to attend the first ever Mecum Car Auctions event held in Seattle. This is the first time they've ever had such a wondrous car auction event held here and I can't wait what the fuzz is all about...

Mecum Auctions Seattle - CenturyLink Field

A selection of the finest classic, vintage, custom and performance vehicles have been gathered for one of America's finest car auctions and this is the first time Mecum Auctions held at Seattle from Friday the 13th of June up to Saturday the 14th of June, 2014.

That event was televised via NBC Sports so those car enthusiast who never made it at the venue can still enjoy the car auction action at the comfort of their home.

I'm quite surprised that the legendary Bugatti Veyron supercar was in that venue.

This is one of the prime examples of a "resto-mod", a classic car that is restored and modified with some nice touches. Pretty cool, isn't it?

Quite a bizarre encounter over this one! That's some kind of an Eastern Germany car called the Goggomobil and it's one of 10 units arrived on US soil.

That is a Lincoln Blackwood, a luxury pickup truck based on the Ford F150 and probably one of the rarest you can find because of its short-lived production. It's powered by a 5.4L V8 engine developing 300HP of power and 355ft-lb of torque.

And now, a short video tour I just shot at the venue:

Anyway, I really had fun at the Mecum Auctions in Seattle's CenturyLink Field Event Center. To me, this event served me one of the best pre-summer moments any car enthusiasts would love to spend. I don't know what that is but all those classic metal and the remains of the automotive industry's past displayed for auctions, this car auction is definitely one of the most successful, I can tell. Now, the only thing that's left is...how can I get that "auction guy" dialog out of my head...

As I finished this, the Mecum Auctions committee recorded their best car auctions in Seattle and the car that scored the biggest price tag is the 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible, sold at 3.5 million US Dollars.

If you've been there, I hope you had as much fun as I do.

Out at the park...

Hello world.

It's me again, Leopaul.

Feeling bored while doing absolutely nothing, my mum told me that we should go to the park. One park to be precise; Seward Park (http://www.seattle.gov/parks/environment/seward.htm)

Me, dad, mum, and my sis are having to have some fresh air but there is a problem. Somewhere at the park, there are crooks talking trash while cookinh up barbecue and playing very loud music on their stereos. It was like who are those? And then, I judt caught ip two heavily modified Chevy SUVs with the oversized rims and candy paint, thinking that you are the kind of person who belongs to Seattle's most notorious gangs.

Heh, because of all that crooks and criminals driving souped up cars with huge speakers and hanging out with some beer and snacks, we decided to retreat back home.

How come society often turned out like this?

Speaking of which, my office chair that I have for a few months ago got unexpectedly broken. We had that chair for months as a replacement to a two-year old office chair that went flimsy. I just really don't know how come that chair can easily became so flimsy. Also, the height adjustener's jammmed. A months-old chair feels like the old broken office chair we had. Is it because of my weight that can't keep up with the chair?

Oh my gosh....Something's has to be done...

Room 3181 at Seattle Central

Hi! It's me, Leopaul.

On Room 3181 of the Seattle Central Community College (the study room) There was actually a different kind of wall that really won't let you into trouble.

In old times, most teenagers commonly using markers to vandalize the walls of school property and the authorities are getting mad at those who did it. On that Room 3181, there was a wall that you can write whatever you want but you can clean it with a cloth. This is some kind of Engineering Connection. A special kind of wall that was inherited from the white board. I find this wall very special because that wall will not turn me into a vandal for writing on walls. It's very convenient though but I have to tell you that only water-based markers will work on Room 3181's wonder wall because put that with a permanent marker and that's vandalism to you.

Now who would have thought of that kind of Engineering Connection?

Of scary-sounding sliding doors and surprises...

Hello everyone. It's me again, Leopaul.

Earlier, when I joined my daddy to take my Lolo and Lola to the Group Health Medical Center at Broadway, Seattle for some checkup, I just notice something strange about the sliding door at the North Building of the Group Health Medical Center...

When the door slides, that sound coming from the sliding door is like a panther roaring. I never thought that this sliding door from Group Health medical center has a sound of a wild animal. Now that's scary. Hope some mechanics better fix that sliding door from the Group Health North Building or there will be some serious trouble that people think that there's a wild animal at the hospital.

Okay, enough of that scary sliding door from Group Health North Building at Broadway, Seattle for now. Also earlier, I saw something even better...

This is the 2012 Subaru Impreza G4. When I said G4, no. It's not G4U. It's not THE IDOLM@STER G4U. This is G4. Subaru Impreza G4. A few moments ago, I just saw the 2012 Subaru Impreza Sport just a few blocks near my home but here, this G4 looks good. It looks more like a decent competitor to the Mazda Axela sedan, I think....

While peeking on the Impreza G4, we were taking too long at a parking garage until Daddy gets my Ate Elise. It's 4:00PM. I got to go to Seattle Central before 5:00PM because I have a class. When Daddy came back with my Ate Elise, I went to school. By 9:30PM, I left school and when I went home, I came into this.

This is it. SUDA 51's SDATCHER -Inspired by SNATCHER-. A drama CD in collaboration between Kojima Productions and Goichi Suda, the man behind the No More Heroes fame. I bought it via CDJapan and I put most of it on my iPod Touch for convenience. By now, I should be listening to the whole story...

Thanks for reading!

My experience of getting locked outside

Hi there, it's me, Leopaul!

I'll share you my story that is something embarrassing in my life...

When my two sisters left to Wenatchee and my other is still asleep upstairs, my mommy asked my to locked the doors but that is to the front. Meanwhile, I used the back door to get outside and when I'm outside, I went for a leisure walk. After my leisure walk, I went back to the back door when suddenly, I got locked, all doors! I tried yelling to my sister, Cecille, who is sleeping upstairs, but nothing worked. While I'm stranded outside, I have to say hi to our neighbor, Mrs. Ramos, before I have to come up with a plan. Good thing, I'm still in a Wi-Fi hotspot (because our house is a Wi-Fi hotspot thanks to Qwest, which is now CenturyLink) and while I'm stranded next door, I'm watching some NHK in my iPod Touch.

After watching some NHK on my iPod Touch, I have come up with a plan to get inside because some of the windows are opened. First, I have to realize that the window that leads to my bedroom is open but its too high. I tried getting the ladder but the ladder is chained from the balcony. Nothing worked until...

...I realize something that the window that heads to the living room is open but there's a screen attached. Good thing, some parts of the screen are ripped and I managed to get rid of the screen before getting through the window but it's moderately high so I have to get a chair outside. Later, I'm using the chair as a stand so I can reach through the window. After moments of grip, I managed to get inside my house. That was too close....

Strange encounter...

Hi there! It's me again! Earlier, we went to the Seafood City Westfield Southcenter branch for some groceries...

Whoa, they're selling Monster Energy? Whoa, I'm not into those okay? Why most prefer this? Probably because of the Ken Block thing? Oh well...

Okay, back for some more...

Mmmm... My favorite...Century Tuna!

The Philippines' favorite sardines, Ligo Sardines. Laging Masarap for more than 50 years! Sarap Ligo!

Manny Pacquiao's vinegar of choice! Datu Puti! Ito ang champion! :D

Malaki, marami, masarap! Rebisco Crackers! I can see Michael V on the packaging!

The customer service...

The cashier...

C2 Green Tea! One of my favorites. I often drink these when I'm thirsty...

And this is it. I saw actor Joel Torre hanging out at the Seafood City Westfield Southcenter branch to promote a film titled "Amigo"

Apparently, Joel Torre's very busy on autographs! We got excited to see him in person ever since we saw him on 100 Days To Heaven.

Amigo is a film by Academy Award-nominated director John Sayles. Joel Torre played the role of Rafael, a village mayor caught in the murderous crossfire of the Philippine-American War. This movie also stars Chris Cooper, Garret Dillahunt, Dane DeHann, Rio Locsin, Ronnie Lazaro, Yul Vazquez, Bembol Roco, and DJ Qualis. It's a good movie! Watch it!

And now, we're taking a Jollibee break before we go...

That newly opened Daiso Japan store sells everything for 1.50 Dollars. I checked inside and wow, this thing sells household items and others!

...and we're going home!

At Broadway, Seattle...

While we are going to Seattle Central Community College to pay some tuition, I saw a red Ferrari crossed by and wow, this is one fiery hot Italian sports car we wish to save some money at but not in a mood right now. We went to the Seattle Central Community College to pay the tuition for my class for this Summer 2011 semester.

After paying the tuition, we went to the bookstore to buy the book required for my class. It was titled "Discovering Computers Brief" and this is the book required for my class this summer.

After that, we take a visit to the newly opened Gamestop "The Broadway Building" branch. Looks like after class, I could just hang out and buy some new video games here! Isn't that convenient?

Huh, looks like the blockbuster Call Of Duty Black Ops is releasing another DLC pack titled ANNIHILATION this late June 2011. I wonder what new challenges await on this latest Black Ops DLC?

Wow, wide selection of video games. Looks like I'll go there next time if I have the money and the urge to buy video games. What do you think?
