Hyundai New Tucson iX

Let's admit it that the Hyundai Tucson iX is the kind of car obsessed by those who are big fans of The Walking Dead TV series but while we're waiting for the fourth season in the 4th quarter of 2013, the crossover that was featured on the hit survival horror TV series has now been upgraded but how "upgraded" is this 2014 model gonna be and does it have what it takes to be featured on The Walking Dead soon? Let's find out...

2014 Hyundai Tucson iX
Here it is though...maybe Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and the other survivors on the hit series may not gonna like this new model though because for this new look of this 2014 Tucson iX, this is much worse than I thought because in the pre-facelift model that was launched since the summer of '09, it wasn't quite a bad looking crossover when we first see and then landed on The Walking Dead TV series for three seasons and gathered a whole new bunch of fans. For this new version though...care to look at the design? It has this hexagonal-shaped grille that doesn't quite a fitting for its looks so it looks more of a "walker" rather than being a sexy utility vehicle. Get it? Bang goes the slogan here... (laughing)

Anyway, aside from the exterior cosmetic changes, what else did it changed for this minor change model? Let's see...

2014 Hyundai Tucson iX

First of all, the 2014 Tucson iX is offered only in two engine types; first the 2.0L GDi engine offered for the first time on the Tucson and the e-VGT R2.0 engine for those who prefer diesels. Anyway, the new 2.0L GDi engine provides 166PS of power output while the e-VGT R2.0 engine produces 184PS of power. While both of these engines are mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission, those entry level models wearing the R2.0 diesel engine are mated with a 6-speed manual transmission that promises combined fuel economy of 14.4km/L. That's it. We're not going to mention more about how does these engines differ because it would be a total waste of time. So, let's move on to whatever changes occured...

Like other Hyundai models, the 2014 Tucson now has FLEX STEER. The same thing you'd expect on the i30, the Santa Fe, and the Maxcruz. How does this work? Sorry, can't explain. It has three modes labeled ECO, NORMAL, and SPORT, and it was something more of a mood changing thingy at the switch of a button and three driving modes are based on driving styles whether on city roads or in an open road driving, whatever. But still, this isn't the time for explainations. Next!

2014 Hyundai Tucson iX interior
What's added on the 2014 Tucson is Hyundai's BlueLink telematics system which allows owners to open the car or start the engine via smartphone. This might be ideal if you want to get away from a horde of zombies without the hassle of key fobbing. So, anyway, like I was said. BlueLink is included and it allows owners to open doors or start the engine with the use of a smartphone. That's it. No more explainations.

Available colors for this 2014 model are; Pure White, Sleek Silver, Mystic Beige, Hyper Metallic, Titanium Grey, Atomic Orange, Remington Red, Cobalt Coast, and Phantom Black.

Price List:
뉴 투싼 iX 가솔린 2.0 GDi 2WD Modern A/T - W23,500,000
뉴 투싼 iX 가솔린 2.0 GDi 2WD Style A/T - W19,700,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 2WD Modern A/T - W25,900,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 2WD Premium A/T - W27,500,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 2WD Smart A/T - W22,600,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 2WD Smart Special A/T - W23,800,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 4WD Modern A/T - W27,700,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 4WD Premium A/T - W29,300,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 4WD Smart A/T - W24,400,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 4WD Smart Special A/T - W25,600,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 2WD Smart M/T - W20,900,000
뉴 투싼 iX 디젤 R2.0 4WD Smart M/T - W22,700,000

And that's that. The new 2014 Tucson iX may have now gained an hideous looking face that looks more of a walker than being a zombie survival vehicle but with all of its added gizmos on it, this will become the most ideal crossover as preferred by The Walking Dead cast. Question is, will this new look be an acceptable one rather than the pre-facelift one as seen on the show? Find out soon...

A Hyundai Tucson iX spotted in a Green Rose episode (?)

Hyundai Tucson iX on a
Green Rose episode

Hey, is that the Hyundai Tucson iX in a Green Rose episode?

That Hyundai Tucson iX was a personal ride from SR Corporation's David Tobias (Gardo Versoza). Relax, this isn't the first time we encounter Mr. Tobias' ride on a Green Rose episode. There was a previous episode where the Hyundai Tucson iX shown barely while David Tobias' having a conversation with Edward Fuentabella (Jake Cuenca).

I never seen that thing coming...

Besides, the Pinoy version of Green Rose is almost finished. Only three episodes remaining. Previously on the April 23 episode, Gina (Alessandra De Rossi) wants to kill Edward by any means of car accident but the bastard jumped off and Gina died. On the April 24 episode, Jerome Delgado (Jericho Rosales) and his faithful bodyguard crashing through some gang hideout and geez, I love this kind of fight scene and Jerome's martial arts is getting more interested. With three episodes left, will Jerome and the gang reveal that Edward is the murderer against Chairman Tuazon? Tune in up until Friday!

Hyundai Tucson ix (2nd Generation Tucson)

Since 2004, Hyundai replaced the Mitsubishi Pajero-based Galloper with the Tucson crossover compact SUV to meet the demands for car enthusiasts. Five years later, the Tucson is finally received its much-awaited full model change that other car enthusiasts think that this is the ix-onic concept car, as seen on the Geneva Motor Show, finally went into production.

To wrap it up, the "ix" moniker on it looks very sexy to the Korean car enthusiasts. Just how sexy is the Tucson ix? Here are some reasons why this is a sexy crossover; the front view is somewhat an i30 and a Genesis Coupe mixed it up, a side view is a widened Nissan Skyline Crossover to give it a commanding silhouette, and the rear side that is so aggressive, that car enthusiasts will feel the intense aura inside the Tucson ix.

While sexy on the outside, the interior of the ix is sophisticated. Just one man could think that the ix's interior is somewhat mistaken for the Genesis Coupe thanks to its familiar dashboard, instrumental panel, optitron meters, climate control, audio system, and a seating for five passengers. Best of all, the seats can be folded for luggage situations.

For the audience impact that other people would never forget, the Tucson ix has the host of commanding features that no other crossovers want other people to know, like the Vehicle Dynamic Control, Downhill Brake Control, innovative Hill-Start Assist system, Control, Emergency Stop Signal, Panoramic Sunroof, and Safety Rear-View Mirror. There are two available engines to choose from; a 2.0-litre R diesel engine (found on Kia's Sorento R) producing a powerhouse of 184ps at the fuel economy of over 15.4km/L and a 2.0-litre Theta II petrol engine capable of releasing the power of 166ps at the fuel economy of over 11.7km/L.

IT IS VERY GOOD.

The Tucson ix can be Korea's biggest bombshell of the century. Look out men, because this chick has fully locked and loaded with features so hot, you might end yourselves having a date with this new Korean crossover utility vehicle. The Hyundai Tucson ix can be a formidable foe of Toyota's RAV4 and Vanguard or even Nissan's Murano and Skyline Crossover. The results can be flattering for everyone.
