Asphalt 8 mobile racing game unveiled its "Dubai update"

Asphalt 8 Airborne's Dubai update

It's been a year since Asphalt 8: Airborne hit the smartphones on the App Store and Google Play and most racing game fans still won't stop playing the most extreme installment of the Asphalt mobile game franchise from developer Gameloft.

Now, they've released a brand new Dubai Update on A8! This update features a brand new Dubai location with different variations ranging from DUBAI, THE ROSE OF THE DESERT, and THE MIRAGE.

Also, keep an eye out for time-limited special events featuring 5 brand-new cars to this update such as the Nissan GT-R NISMO, Jaguar F-Type, SSC Ultimate Aero XT, the Mercedes-Benz Biome Concept, and the unsung Dutch supercar known as the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS. As A8 rules apply, the fastest in the special events will earn an early access to this car before its available for almost everyone in a couple of days or weeks.

A new season is added and for this 9th season called BEYOND, only cars tuned to the max are allowed to take on the toughest challenges yet. These challenges are made specifically to the car, which is tuned to the max, and if you want to beat those, get yourself ready with your car armed to the highest potential!

If you have a Twitch account, you can stream your A8 action but this Twitch feature is only available for those who owned the latest-generation of smartphones and tablets (for example, the iPhone 5/5c or the iPad 4th gen). A Twitch account is required to access this feature.

Asphalt 8 is available to download for free at the App Store or Google Play now.

EnviroPop

EnviroPop
Hello readers, it's me again. A couple of months ago, I once checked out an app from a Philippine-based developer Applabs. Yep, I once tried CarCrazee, an app that lets you share pics of cars with your fellow car enthusiasts. Now, Applabs came out with a new app for those who are addicted to puzzle games and this one's a little bit interesting for puzzle app lovers.

Called EnviroPop, this new puzzle app for the iPhone/iPod Touch is a wondrous collaboration between Applabs Digital Studios and the World Wildlife Fund Philippines. In fact, this is the first time I've seen a puzzle app made in collaboration with an organization dedicated to conserve and protect endangered species from harm. The objective then is simple, to save our undersea pals, you have to tap at least three hazards and swipe them away with your fingers. You have to match three same hazards and then swipe them away. The more hazards you get rid of, the more points you'll get but if Chi-Chi the Giant Panda is beside a hazard chain, which is a rare treat on this puzzle app, your score will be multiplied five times.

You only have one minute to play this game and if you're happy with the score after one minute, feel free to share your scores on Facebook just to brag your pals for a challenge but it's for fun.

The full app game will cost you $0.99 and proceeds will go to the WWF-Philippines' marine conservation programs. What it is, with that sort of cash, is an fun and addictive app game for a cause. This is a great game if you want to be part of the environmentalists dedicated to help save little sea critters from hazardous wastes and illegal practices such as trawling and dynamite fishing.

I'd recommend this puzzle game not just for those who want to ease the boredom with some puzzle games but also for the nature lovers who are pledged for a clean environment.

CarCrazee app lets you share pics of cars!

Car Crazee

As I know, social media's getting more of a trend for car enthusiasts showing off their rides to their social networking buddies. Even mobile phones or smartphones can't escape that reality either, taking a picture of his or her car and then showing off how good his/her car is to his/her friends.

CarCrazee

That is why there was an app for that. It's called CarCrazee and as the description says, this is a flagship FREE car photo sharing app for the iPhone made by AppLabs Digital Studios. It's FREE TO DOWNLOAD so no charges apply when you download this app and if you did, you can sign in with your Facebook account to get started. All you have to do is take pics of your car and then watch as your friends have a look on your car.

Fancy driving two Nissan Jukes? Get Asphalt 7 HEAT!

Nissan Juke Nismo and Nissan Juke R
on Asphalt 7: HEAT

For its latest update on Gameloft's ASPHALT 7: HEAT (Version 1.0.5) available on iPhone App Store and Android store, this mobile racing game added two kinds of Nissan Jukes to up the ante. The Nissan  Juke Nismo and the Nissan Juke-R are there on this latest updates and if you want them, win them on those special challenges offered.

About the Nissan Juke Nismo, this was unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show and what this is, is a Nismo-tuned version of the wild-looking Nissan Juke crossover compact. The chassis which has been lowered and stiffened, while the 1.6-liter direct injection turbo gasoline engine has been uprated to deliver more power and performance. As for the Nissan Juke-R though, what happens when you put some of the Nissan R35 GT-R know how in the Juke's body? The result is a monster of a masterpiece.  A Nissan Juke fitted with the GT-R's VR38DETT's engine is not the kind of Juke you would expect on the road and it's made in a very limited production run thanks to customer interests. The first owner of this wild and monstrously wicked Juke-R was in Dubai and that guy must have been lucky to drive one of those...

Anyway, if you have Asphalt 7 and if you haven't updated to Version 1.0.5, do it now. These two Jukes are waiting for you...Don't have A7 HEAT? Buy one at the app store!

It's all thanks to our friends at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd and Gameloft!

My Bisei-Tokei user impression

A few months ago, I purchased some kind of a cool iPod Touch/iPhone app that find others very appealing. It's called Bisei-Tokei. If someone doesn't know what Bisei-Tokei is, this app is made from Bijin-Tokei, the clock app featuring photos of beautiful women showing up what time it is.

Bisei-Tokei is a Bijin-Tokei app showing up one of the most popular female seiyuus from anime shows and video games.

It includes:

1) Ai Nonaka (Konoka Konoe from Mahou Sensei Negima, Binchou-tan from Binchou-tan)

2) Yui Kano (Momoko from Sumomomo Momomo)

3) Akemi Kanda (Asuna Kagurazaka from Mahou Sensei Negima)

4) Ryo Hirohashi (Sora from Kaleido Star)

5) Masumi Asano (Saga from Sugar A Little Snow Fairy, Hakufu from Ikki Tousen series, Oboro Kashiwagi from Zettai Karen Children)

6) Tomoko Kaneda (Chiyo from Azumanga Daioh)

7) Satomi Sato (Ritsu Tainaka from K-On!)

8) Houko Kuwashima (Mei Ling from Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots)

9)  Mai Aizawa (Natsumi Murakami from Mahou Sensei Negima, Ayano from Lucky Star)

10) Yuka Saito (Chizuru Akaba from Seitokai no Ichizon)

11) Ryoko Shiraishi (Hayate Ayasaki from Hayate the Combat Butler, Aoi Nogami from Zettai Karen Children)

12) Kanae Ito (Amu Hinamori from Shugo Chara series, Ruiko Saten from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun)

My favorite seiyuus from the Bisei-Tokei app were Ryoko Shiraishi, Kanae Ito, Akemi Kanda, and Ai Nonaka. If my Bisei-Tokei app is on and if I saw a photo of Ryoko Shiraishi holding what time it is, I can often hear Hayate's voice. When a photo of Kanae Ito shows up, her voice is kinda bored, her voice kinda looks like she's bored. I really really like it.

My least favorite on this app were Ryo Hirohashi and Tomoko Kaneda. Why? Every time a photo of Ryo Hirohashi shows up, I didn't realize how loud and how quick her time-mentioning looks like. If my iPod clock is on 3:25 - 3:29 PM and if the Bisei-tokei app is on, I would probably seeing a photo of Tomoko Kaneda look like this:

At sight I though this was some kind of a "Human Bottle". Yep. A "Human Bottle" with a "squeaky voice" so weird, I might tell others that who's this.

Did you know that I also bought the second half of the Bisei-Tokei app, called Bisei Tokei 2. It features another female seiyuus such as:

1) Rie Tanaka (Maria from Hayate the Combat Butler)

2) Chiaki Takahashi (Azusa Miura from THE IDOLM@STER)

3) Asami Imai (Chihaya Kisaragi from THE IDOLM@STER)

4) Yuko Goto (Mikuru Asahina from Haruhi Suzumiya series)

5) Saori Goto (Chitose from Galaxy Angel)

6) Ami Koshimizu (Nodoka Haramura from Saki)

7) Yuuko Kaida  (Shimei Ryomou form Ikki Tousen series)

8) Hiromi Konno (Akira Kogami from Lucky Star)

9) Marina Inoue (Yoko from Gurren Lagann, Shigeru Kanmuri from Yakitate! Japan, Wataru Tachibana from Hayate the Combat Butler)

10) Ayumi Fujimura (Naomi Umegae from Zettai Karen Children, Misaki Ayuzawa from Maid-sama!)

11) Yu Kobayashi (Setsuna Sakurazaki from Mahou Sensei Negima, Mariya from Mariaholic, Cecile from Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Hiroshi from Ookami Kakushi)

12) Kana Asumi (Popura from WORKING!, Hyoka Kazakiri from To Aru Majutsu no Index)

My picks from Bisei-Tokei 2 were Rie Tanaka, Marina Inoue, and Ayumi Fujimura. The reason is this:

If Rie Tanaka's photo shows up on my iPod:

I can almost hear Maria's voice from her. Eh? Is that Maria from Hayate no Gotoku! No wait, it's her seiyuu!

Marina Inoue sounds cool but when I hear Marina Inoue's voice,

She's quiet. Her tone was too quiet. But I like Marina Inoue for that personality.

But the best seiyuu from Bisei-Tokei 2 is Ayumi Fujimura! Why?

Mmmm...mmmm...mmmm... Her voice is soooo cute! Much like Zettai Karen Children's Naomi Umegae! Every time if a photo of Ayumi Fujimura shows up, I can often hear Naomi Umegae's voice! Cute!

Well, that's my user impression. Hope there will be more Bisei-Tokeis in the future and whose seiyuu will be feature next....

iPod Nano Mk.VI

The sixth-generation iPod Nano

The iPod Nano of the new decade is now changed and its no longer more similar to the classic iPod. The new sixth-generation iPod Nano is now an iPod Touch with a shape of the iPod Shuffle, as part of the new iPod range, consisting of the 4th-generation iPod Touch (now with the camera), and the new 4th-generation iPod Shuffle which goes retro but with the new voice recognition feature.

What impresses the new iPod Nano is the new touch screen feature. I think this new feature borrowed some aspects of the iPod touch but the size makes it eccentric. What makes it on this size, this iPod Nano is now fully focused on playing music. With the lack of the video camera feature, voice recorder, and video playback, this would be rather disappointing.

This new iPod Nano is not my type, unless if someone had it with their old iPod Shuffle may be ready to get their hands on the new iPod Nano. For this iPod claimed as "the iPod Touch look with the iPod Shuffle size", this would be the cutest of the iPod range. Most tech-savvy girls are welcomed to purchase this cute gadget and put some of their favorite songs and enjoy their music trip.

Can this new iPod Nano be a hit? Let's pray that Power Mac Center, the official Apple retailer in the Philippines, will sell these.

iPod Touch (Fourth-generation)

Apple iPod Touch (4th Generation)

With the introduction of the iPad and the iPhone 4, our favorite fun-loving Apple iPod Touch made its full-model change and this will be called the Apple iPod Touch 4.

Why this iPod Touch reached its fourth-generation model? In this model, the iPod Touch can now do things the same as the iPhone 4, such as the new FaceTime feature. This feature does the same trick as the iPhone, you can do a little talk with your pals face to face thanks to the new camera feature, for the first time attached on this model. This app makes video calling at its finest. Also new to the iPod Touch 4 is the new retina display, which brings the most clearest view to this wonderful handheld gadget. From webpages, games, apps, and more, this display will shock you with excitement.

If you want to capture videos in High-Definition, there's an app for that. The new iPod Touch 4 now comes with the HD video camera, which allows you to snap photos and HD video that you can wow them when you send them by Facebook, YouTube, and others. This iPod is way better than my old iPod Touch.

My comment:
This iPod Touch is even better than my old iPod Touch because it now has video call, HD camera, retina display, and more that meets the gadget junkie's eye. With the SRP of $299 - $399 (about 25,000 to 40,000 Pesos), most Apple fans will start saving up some moolah before buying this! I hope this new iPod Touch will be on sale soon at the Power Mac Center, the Philippines' number one Apple retailer.
