The final Goin Bulilit episode #GoodbabyeBulilit

ABS-CBN's longest running kids gag show, Goin Bulilit, ended their 14-year-run. The show is forever remembered as the stepping stone for the most noteworthy stars in Philippine showbizness such as Sharlene San Pedro, Nash Aguas, Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, Kiray Celis, Igi Boy Flores, and many others.

While it is sad that our favorite Sunday TV habit disappear to the pages of history, this show had a lot of fondest memories from the funniest gags, craziest adventures, hilarious spoofs, and most importantly, the kids that made us smile.

In the final episode, the kids asked who will they be when they grow up, the Ang Meaning Mo segment, the Ang Corny jokes at school, the last bow, the last old jokes, Endo serving the high school reunion, all leading to their farewell song with their own rendition of the song Habang Buhay. Don't forget the final Ano Daw jokes.

Not the best parting gift from the show we love but Filipinos worldwide will forever remember the only comedy show in the world where kids rule and for those who are part of thos show throughout the last 14 years; once a Bulilit, always a Bulilit, no matter who they are.

Goodbabye, Bulilit

The mythical end of the Baganis' tale

Bagani is a fantaserye that draws inspiration from Philippine mythologies and it's about a tale of five mythical warriors bestowed by the power of Bathala in order to guard Sansinukob from the forces of evil.

Throughout the course of this story, we witnessed the rise and fall and born again of the Baganis as the tale of betrayal, despair, loss, loyalty, cooperation, and love put these chosen warriors to the test. With the watchful eye of the entity known as the Babaylan, the Baganis are risking their lives to save Sansinukob from dark forces.

And now, here it comes. The end of the myth and throughout the course of the final battle, Lakas and Ganda defeated Gaki, the god of nightmares, while racing against time to get the Puso ng Sinukuan at the top of the Bulkan ng Sinukuan while committing the ultimate sacrifice. With the Puso ng Sinukuan got rid of the evil force that lurks in Ganda's body, the Baganis are reunited and Malaya's act of revenge for the death of Sarimaw has failed.

Although Malaya humbly accepted defeated,  the dark force that was once got rid by the Puso ng Sinukuan has revived Sarimaw and killed Malaya with his bare hands. With Sarimaw reborn, he's going to destroy Sansinukob in one swoop until the Baganis Lakas, Ganda, Dumakulem, Liksi, and Lakam are here to finish him once and for all.

In the ultimate battle beyond good and evil, the Baganis were aided by the warriors of the Taga-disyerto, led by Kidlat and Dakim but as Sarimaw, reborn by the darkest power, slaughtered the warriors, he is slowly killing the Baganis one by one, but thanks to the prayers from the rest of the Sansinukob, the Baganis and the warriors have resurrected and at long last, the Baganis finally vanquished Sarimaw once and for all.

In the end, Sarimaw is under the hands of Bathala and as Bathala explained that love is the ultimate weapon of all, Sarimaw forgives as he stands with Bathala for what's next in Sansinukob and themselves.

With peace returned in Sansinukob, the clans are back to their normal lives as Dumakulem celebrated with his family and his clan, Lakam greatly seeing his Ama beginning his new lease in life, Lakas and Ganda had a family, and in a rather surprise ending, Liksi got transported to another time and encountered someone who looked like Lakas and Ganda. This concludes the mythical tale of Bagani.

MNL48's debut single coming soon, wraps up MNLife webshow

After many months of changes happening to MNL48 ever since the General Election, fans of the Philippine sister group of Japan's world famous pop idol franchise, AKB48, are biting their nails, hoping that one day, these girls should debut anytime now, but judging from the hectic schedules and the departure of some members, it's really hard to predict the outcome for MNL48 until now...

The most awaited "pasabog" for MNL48 happened at the Movie Stars Cafe, Quezon City, when they've announced the title of their debut single coming soon is "Aitakatta - Gustong Makita", which features the Tagalized version of AKB48's hit song, Aitakatta. To be distributed by Star Music, not only the title song is featured but also another Tagalized version will be added, titled Skirt Hirari - Umiindak na Saya. It is unclear if it will be available in digital only or will have a physical release but seeing that every 48 group worldwide doing so, there might be a chance because most physical releases do come with limited edition items. Will MNL48 do like the other 48 groups worldwide? Fingers crossed because it might happen soon.

Also, after previewing the behind the scene clips, MNL48 announced that the full music video of "Aitakatta - Gustong Makita" will be premiered on MYX this August 31st. Sho Makino directed the music video.

In addition, the MNLife web show has been wrapped up after two months. The web show, hosted by members of Hashtag, interviews MNL48 members from Team MII, Team NIV, Team L, and Kenkyuusei. They've even did some grueling games under the MNLaugh banter where balloons popped at the girls faces, hammers broken, blocks fall, cups flipped, okras eaten, and shots of apple cider vinegar took. Even with MNLife ends, there's a replacement coming up in the official MNL48 Facebook page and YouTube channel. What could it be? Find out soon.

Still, let the savings begin. You got until the release date, when announced, to save up for some MNL48 stuff. Good luck, MNL48 fans!

MNL48 teams assembled

With the MNL48 all set last week with Sheki as the center girl, just as we thought that it's finally over now that the Philippine sister group of AKB48 is all set, we were very wrong because this week is all about assembling teams by Teams MII, NIV, and L, and the endgame is where the girls will get to pick who's their overall Group Captain.

During the course of this so-called "Team Captain Election", there has been a departure of Kenkyuusei members as recently appointed Kenkyuusei members such as Ann, Celine, Nix, Reiko, Reina, and Kana. With six Kenkyuusei members bid the MNL48 farewell, the remaining members get to pick who's their captain. By AKS standards, members vote for who will be their captain and after the votes tallied, the one with the highest votes has a choice whether to accept the responsibility of being the team captain.

Complicating the agreement maybe, the members who voted by the girls as team captains managed to rise up to their new challenge. For the Kenkyuusei, they named Arol as their team captain.

Anyway, let's get to know who are the members of Team MII, NIV, and L. Those highlighted in bold are named Captain.

MII: Alice, Cess, Dana, Erica, Essel, Faith, Jan, Mai, Necca, Nice, Sayaka, Sha, Shaina, Sheki, Trixie, and Van.

NIV: Abby, Aly, Alyssa, Belle, Brei, Daryll, Ecka, Ella, Hazel, Jaydee, Jem, Joyce, Lara, Madie, Ruth, and Zen.

L: Ash, Dian, Gabb, Gia, Grace, Jewel, Kay, Kyla, Lei, Mari, Princess, Quincy, Sela, Shaina, Thea, and Tin.

So, Alice is named Team MII captain. Ecka as Team NIV captain, and Kay as Team L captain. Question is who is the overall Group Captain, the one in charge of all three teams? The answer is, after nailing a landslide win and accepted the terms, it was Alice who assumed responsibility as Group Captain.

Now that the teams are assembled, what's next in store for the newly reformed MNL48 and what was become for the remaining Kenkyuusei? Keep watching MNL48 online updates Mondays to Saturdays for more.

MNL48 General Election begins as this week's top 7 announced

Ever since this project started years ago, the MNL48 is established to become the Philippine sister group of Japan's biggest idol girl group AKB48 and throughout this four-month journey, we witness the numbers narrowed down from the top 200 to the top 48 and top 48 aspirants faced many challenges not to mention the arrival of new challengers that will put their talents to the test.

And now, here we are, the end is near for the search of the first generation and the top 48 aspirants are on the verge of success as the General Election will take place this April 28 and starting now, all votes are back to zero and users will vote only one Oshi until the 27th. If they're unsure about their choice, they can either change their Oshi until the deadline or stick with their choice to the very end.

As we are familiar with, those who are named as "Kami 7" will be given international training by AKS, the production company behind AKB48 and its sister groups. Also, whoever make it to the number one spot will be the "center girl" that will rise above all Oshis and become the poster girl of MNL48 worldwide.

Anyway, no time for explanations, on to what happened today. So far, the top seven of the week are, in descending order, Gabb, Tin, Trixie, Alice, Sheki, Eunice, and Abby. But the biggest surprise is the battle between last week's bottom seven and against the seven new challengers that the bottom seven are clashing against. Here's the thing, if the seven new challengers won the battle, they will overtake the bottom seven to become part of the top 48 but if the bottom seven wins, their positions are saved.

And with the margin of .27 percent, which is a close call of course, 74.96 vs. 74.69, the bottom seven managed to defeat the seven new challengers, saving their positions and their glory road to the general election begins.

With this week's top seven named and last week's bottom seven saved, the final fight to become "Kami 7" has just begun and users have until the 27th to vote one of their favorite aspirants. Until then, keep watching ITS SHOWTIME and MNL48 Online Update for more of your favorite aspirants.

Throughout this week, fans watched the daily online update where the aspirants are taking the group exams to see if they know everything about AKB48 and its sister groups. Some say, their exam scores might decide the fate if they are going to stay or get eliminated on Saturday. After weeks of seeing them taking exams, since this is exams week after all, we get to see Groups M, N, and L performing to the tune of Kim Chiu's Express Yourself

At the end, those who made it to this week's top ten are Eunice, Sheki, Sayaka, Abby, Trixie, Gabb, TIn, Shaira, Shaina, and Aria while the ones that were eliminated for this week are Mara, Heart, Bea, Erah, Path, Yoana, and Pam.

The La Luna Sangre finale

La Luna Sangre is the third chapter of the saga that started it all with Lobo since 2008 and then Imortal two years later. It's about Malia, the daughter of the main characters from Imortal, and Tristan, a wise-cracking young chap, who are separated by a curse while trying to show their love to themselves while dealing with a powerful vampire named Sandrino, who is the son of Magnus, who was slain by Lia and the La Liga Unida as seen in the Imortal finale years ago. Throughout the series, within separate ways, the two are trying to expose the Supreme One's weaknesses and now, it all comes to this; the Apocalypse as Sandrino's plot for mass slaughter comes into fruition.

Previously, as Jethro predicts that millions will die in the middle of blood moon, Tristan wants Malia to work together to put a stop to Sandrino's heinous plot for global genocide. Now, in the finale, Tristan arrives on the scene to face off against Sandrino for one last time as the two blood brothers engage on a do-or-die duel while millions of humans had their minds controlled by Sandrino's powers.

As the battle continues, Tristan tries to persuade Sandrino to put a stop to it until the cursed ink split Sandrino and the Supreme One apart, knowing that Sandrino prepares to atone for his sins. However, the Supreme One returns to Sandrino's body and the battle continues. Meanwhile, the Moonchasers and the La Liga Unida are trying to put a stop to this mass hypnotism.

As Sandrino critically damaged Tristan, Malia steps in and the battle rages on. As the battle rages on, Sandrino killed Malia but because of the love between Malia and Tristan, they gave their last inch of power to kill Sandrino once and for all. With the Supreme One killed, Sandrino said his final words, thanking them from freeing him from his inner demon before his demise.

With Tristan, Malia, and the rest finally saved the world, things are back to normal and that concludes the story of La Luna Sangre.

The Doble Kara finale

In the finale of ABS-CBN's afternoon TV drama, Doble Kara, the matter between life and death for Kara and Sara is on their last legs as their final encounter with a powerful enemy puts them on the line.

Behind closed doors of Isabella's birthday party, Kara was kidnapped by Alex, who thought she was presumed dead after their recent encounter regarding their children's lives. Meanwhile, Laura and Lucille made their fateful encounter and while revelations continue to spill, Lucille's pasts continue haunting her and knocked Laura out.

With Alex calling off the entire family to witness Kara's fate, Edward and Sara arrived to rescue Kara until Alex steps in to finish the twins off until they give back her son, JR. As tensions rise, the inevitable happens as Alex wants Kara to kill Sara off or else their mother will face the inevitable. With Lucille learned that Alex was just using her for such nefarious plots to separate the twins and their children, the tension just keeps on escalating until someone sealed their fate. Kara is the one who got shot by Alex before the police raided the house and got her surrounded.

As Seb tries to persuade Alex to stop her nefarious things all for JR's sake, she was shot dead by the police. With the family rushed Kara to the hospital, the struggle to keep Kara alive is on the line for them as well as for her daughter Becca who needs a transplant to save her life. Not taking any chances, Sara is ready for her transplant to save Becca's life.

Moments later, Kara and Seb finally found solace to themselves after all the mess they've faced so far while Edward, who thought he was going to say goodbye to Sara, announced his proposal to Sara. Lucille, meanwhile, still haunted by her past, has returned to the mental institution and was visited by Kara and Seb for an apology after all the nefarious things she has done for the family.

Peace is flowing to the family and this concludes the story of Doble Kara.

The Tubig at Langis finale

In the final episode of ABS-CBN's intense afternoon drama, Tubig at Langis, the rivalry between Clara and Irene are getting worse and while Clara tries to finish Irene off in the very place where she and Natoy first met, Natoy finally arrives to put an end to this.

With Natoy here, Clara plots to kill them both but all of her shots were missed because deep down, she still has feelings for Natoy and intends to kill herself to end their suffering.
