- The Department of Social Welfare and Development received one million peso cash donation from the Commission of Election, which is meant to assist evacuees, particularly COMELEC employees, who were affected by the crisis in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur.

- The DNA sample from one of the victims of the massacre in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan matched with the DNA of primary suspect Carmelino Ybanez. This serves as the proof that he raped Estrella Dizon, one of the five victims of brutal killings in mentioned province last June 27, 2017.

- The Pasay Police Intelligence Unit operatives managed to arrest the top Most Wanted Persons in the area, and nine of his associates at Manda Compound, M. Dela Cruz Street, Barangay 130.

- Three gunmen opened fire at the police near Jerusalem's holiest site, wounding three Israelis, two of them critically, before the attackers were killed by security forces, Israeli police said. The gunmen arrived at the sacred site, known to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary and to Jews as Temple Mount, and walked towards one of the Old City gates nearby, according to the police.

- Singapore temporarily suspended most of their road, rail works after viaduct collapse kills a Chinese worker and injuring 10 of his colleagues.

- Jaguar launched the E-Pace crossover and during its world premiere, it managed to perform the furthest barrel roll ever recorded on the Guinness World Record.

- Gran Turismo Sport will launch on the PS4 this mid-October 2017. North America and Asia will be the first to get GT Sport when it arrives this October 17, followed by Europe a day later. It will be available in Japan this October 19.



- The City Hunter manga franchise will spawn a French live-action movie coming this February 2019.
