Deadpool (2016 film)

One of the most anticipated films of 2016 is none other than everyone's favorite "Merc with the Mouth" who is good to be bad at being the good guy. Enter Deadpool.

Sadly, I can't explain what's what about this film because Deadpool's here to explain what's what about his film because if I can explain about this myself Deadpool's going to blow my house down with some explosives rigged under my bed.

Deadpool

Hello! Privet! Namaste! Ahoj! Merhaba! Hola! Salut! Yia sou! Selam! Guten Tag! Ni Hao! Konnichiwa! Witaj! Shalom! Saluton! Annyeong! People of the world! Yes, it's me. The merc with the mouth they called me Deadpool and how it's great to have a movie about myself. If by myself, I mean REALLY. Myself.

If you don't know who I really am. Lemme tell you a story and don't worry, I won't put you to sleep like what your mama, papa, nana, and pepop do when you're little. Once upon a time, there was a mercenary named Wade Wilson and he was diagnosed with the little C-word that everyone's afraid to have one in their life, but then, a secret experiment lured Mr. Wilson to a choice to live a second chance or face his imminent death. However, the experiment didn't healed his cancer but gained mutant genes to regenerate himself. Wilson's cancer left him disfigured but incapable of death. This is where Deadpool is born. Yep. That's me! We're you surprised?

My good friend Ryan Reynolds did a great job of being me and to be honest, both Ryan and I can make a perfect combination because he's so good at being me in this film. Also, my other good friend, director Tim Miller, did a great job of perfecting a film about me everybody in the world would love. I just want to be with those guys for the rest of my life, if you know what I mean?

Some people heard about my film is a total wreck compared to those low-life Marvel films and I said I disagree because my film "kills" all of the other films from the Marvel universe! Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy, you name every stuff from the Marvel universe and I can top them all thanks to my...um...what some might call fighting style as well as my charisma that pleases the viewers.

I want all of you, fellow supporters of me, Deadpool, to enjoy my film made by the people who knew better about me, the Merc with the Mouth, because this is why my dream of having a movie about me came true thanks to my new friends Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller and before you're getting all emotional, you'd better wipe off your tears with your bare hands. Got it?! Good.

P.S. Don't have a date for Valentines? Spend a date with me, Deadpool.

Thank you Deadpool for your rhetorical message and for that, I'll give you a 3.9 out of 5 on the rating scale. Happy now that you got your own film?!

Mitsubishi Mirage (A03A) Minor Change

2016 Mitsubishi Mirage

Ever since Mitsubishi revived the Mirage in 2012 as a compact, Mitsubishi wanted a compact car that can match the likes of the Nissan March, even though both of these compacts were fully imported from Thailand. While the fuel efficiency is the main topic in this Thai-import eco car, the design remains to be somewhat stagnant by some. It maybe cheap to own but its not cheerful as what you think.

To resolve this, there's a minor change to the current Mirage and while the new exterior design is somewhat promising to look at, it's been given some added tech to keep this compact car imported from Thailand more premium than the pre-facelifted Mirage. On the outside view, the new look gives the Mirage a more sleek and sporty feel but don't be alarmed because even though it's now sleeker than the previous model, it's not as surprisingly fun to drive with. On the inside, it still remains that cheap flavor which is as cheap as buying a dirty ice cream from a street vendor, even when you're opting for optional extras such as a sat-nav.

The old 3A90 MIVEC 1.0L engine has been thrown away and in return, the only engine available for the facelifted Mirage is a 3A92 MIVEC 1.2L engine, which produces 78PS of power and 100Nm of torque, while mated with the INVECS-III CVT. Fuel economy is expected at around 25.4km/L and when compared to the Nissan March K13's, it's around 2.4km/L more, meaning that it's more fuel-efficient.

Anyway, there is now tech included in the new Mirage and this new tech is called the FCM-City. FCM is Forward Collision Mitigation system and this new feature detects ongoing vehicles as well as taking advantage autonomous braking system. Safety wise, the new Mirage even comes with anti-lock brakes, electronic brake distribution, active stability control, emergency stop signal system, and many more.

The new Mirage starts from 1,380,240 Yen for the M model and up to 1,485,000 for the top-of-the-line G model. Should you buy it? The rest is up to you.

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: North Korea shuts down Kaesong complex

Once again, the Kaesong complex is facing a shutdown as the North Korea announced that they will rid the complex of workers from South Korea.

The North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued a statement via the state media, saying they are closing down the complex and designate it as a military control zone following the South's suspension of all operations in the factory zone in response to last week's rocket launch by the North.

The North says that the recent shutdown announcement was a dangerous declaration of war that would bring the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of confrontation and cannot be tolerated.

If you know this secret message above, that means "THE TEN BEST GRAVITY FALLS MOMENTS". Now, moving on...

Image: Disney

After a four-year run, Disney's hit animated TV show, Gravity Falls, reaches its climax on President's Day (February 15, 2016) with a one-hour finale where the Pines and the rest of the Gravity Falls residents staged a resistance to save the world from the clutches of Bill Cipher and end the Weirdmageddon once and for all. That's right, it's payback time and it's time to take back the falls.

Before witnessing the liberation of Gravity Falls this Presidents' Day, time to honor the impending liberation by listing down the ten best moments in Gravity Falls history, the moments when we saw the Mystery Twins at their very best.

1) The pilot episode will always be the most memorable moment in Gravity Falls history and this is the episode we should all deserve an awkward sibling hug at the end of the day. In the first episode, we saw Dipper and Mabel arrived at Gravity Falls to spend their summer vacation with their Grunkle Stan, only to find out that this place holds so many paranormal mysteries. The gnomes are just the start of the Mystery Twins' quest to solve the mysteries of this mysterious town and also the zombie. the hat that Dipper wore throughout the show, and the grappling hook Mabel got.

2) In the "Double Dipper" episode, Dipper has a lot to do on his list while the Mystery Shack throws a wild party. He wants to spend the night with Wendy but complicated things set them apart until Dipper encounters a mysterious copy machine that makes copies of himself but sometimes, more isn't better because the Dipper copies are having a mind of their own. Like paper, the Dipper copy can get dissolved by anything liquid, even water.

3) Who wants a Lamby Lamby Lamby? I do! I do! In the episode "The Inconveniencing", in order for Dipper to save Mabel and a bunch of teenagers, including Wendy, he has to confront against the ghosts running amok from the abandoned convenience store. Those ghosts as it turned out to be an elderly couple died from a heart attack after being attacked by teenagers after banning them from the store. To do that, the ghosts asked him to do a funny dance and that's how Dipper got to do the Lamby Lamby Dance. With the costume set, he's doing the dance to please the ghosts, setting everyone free. Still a good moment to enjoy than getting high on Smile Dip that Mabel had. THE FUTURE IS IN THE PAST! ONWARDS, AOSHIMA!

4) If you can have one video game character come to life and become your bodyguard, who will it be and why? That's the question that comes to mind when Dipper summoned a video game character named Rumble McSkirmish from Fight Fighters when he tried to use the so-called "ultimate power" combo. Originally, he wanted to have his video game character to give Robbie a good kicking but when bad things happened, it's up to Dipper to stop Rumble. Those video game references on it really got my inner geek going.

5) Their first encounter against the demon named Bill Cipher in the Dreamscaperers episode is the turning point while Dipper, Mabel, and Soos, work together to stop Bill from entering the biggest secret of Grunkle Stan's mind that would spell doom to the Mystery Shack. Because they're at the dream world, anything is possible to defeat Bill. After defeating Bill, they've succeeded to save Grunkle Stan but Gideon used force to take over the shack. In the first season finale titled "Gideon Rises", just when all hope is lost to regain the shack from Gideon, Dipper and Mabel thrown everything they got to defeat Gideon. In the end, Grunkle Stan exposed the truth that Gideon's a fraud and the shack is back in business. The biggest mystery remains is what's under the shack that Stan's working on?

6) Into the Bunker sees a much tougher Wendy while the gang is exploring under the mysterious bunker to further investigate who is the author behind the mystery journals. This is the very episode that Dipper told the truth about his feelings for Wendy and who can blame them?

7) In the episode Society of the Blind Eye, Dipper and Mabel believed that Old Man McGucket is the alleged author of the Mystery Journals and he was one of the many people whose memories wiped out by a cult known as the Society of the Blind Eye, led by Blind Ivan. With the help of Old Man McGucket, the gang investigate the mysterious cult and then take them out for good, especially when it comes to wiping out the leader's memory. It is believed that the gadget used by the cult to erase everyone's mind is an invention of McGucket himself during his youth but McGucket's not responsible for the mystery journals. Question is who?

8) This is where the biggest secret in Grunkle Stan's life is uncovered as in the episode "Not What He Seems", he was captured by government agents, trying to uncover the truth behind the anomalies surrounding Gravity Falls. As for Dipper and Mabel, they're uncovering what's under the shack, which is none other than the portal from another dimension which one of the journals claimed that it will trigger the end of space and time. In the end, the portal didn't triggered cataclysm but it unleashed a mysterious figure who looks just like Grunkle Stan.

In the episode "A Tale of Two Stans", the man in question is the real Stanford Pines, the six-fingered man behind the journals while the Grunkle Stan as we know is actually Stanley Pines. Viewers witnessed how the twins' tales unraveled to the very story we are seeing it now. With the truth uncovered, government agents surrounded the Mystery Shack but one of the real Stanford Pines' inventions managed to slip past through the agents. In the end, Ford demanded Stan that when this summer's over, he wants his name back and shut the Mystery Shack forever.

9) Dipper and Mabel's 13th birthday is drawing near and in the episode titled "Dipper and Mabel vs. the Future", viewers find out that living an imminent teenage is harsh as they thought. Mabel wants to throw a big birthday party but all is grim when their birthdays will happen at the end of summer, Wendy warns that high school life is harsh, and her friends are leaving. As for Dipper, he's working alongside Great Uncle Ford to investigate a mysterious UFO which contains a special adhesive that will one day save time and space. The end of the episode is rather shocking because not only Mabel learned the truth about Dipper's, she was fooled by Bill Cipher, who used Blendin Blandin's body, and unleashed Weirdmageddon.

10) The demon known as Bill Cipher ruled Gravity Falls with an iron fist upon unleashing the ultimate terror known as Weirdmageddon and with most of the residents as well as Great Uncle Ford and Mabel held captive by Bill, only a handful of survivors such as Dipper, Wendy, and Soos must survive the nightmarish reality. The first part of the Weirdmageddon is very weird and very terrifying but the storyline keeps getting hotter and hotter as viewers witnessed how will Dipper survive the onslaught to save his sister and in due course, the world. In the second Weirdmageddon chapter, Escape from Reality, the trio entered Mabel's Bubble and while the two got succumbed into their temptations, Dipper tries to expose the truth inside this bubble and that meant going on court to reveal how much the twins bonded each other for bad times and good times. From awkward, now sincere, the bonds between the twins are stronger than ever.

Now that the twins reunite and the shack's intact along with Grunkle Stan and the handful of survivors, including the Multi-Bear, on it, will they take back the falls and win the battle against Bill?

Don't miss the one-hour finale of Gravity Falls airing this Presidents' Day (February 15) on Disney XD! Check local listings.

20 Years of Pokemon: The 20 best Pokemon Ash had

Continuing on Pokemon's 20 Year Celebration, it's time to look on the best twenty Pokemon belonged or used to belong to the TV series' hero Ash Ketchum (Satoshi).

Ash wants to be the very best like no one ever was (there goes that theme song everyone remembers) and with Pikachu and his friends, this young chap explores through different worlds, meeting new Pokemon, make new friends, perfecting his fighting style, saving the world from impending world chaos, and fulfill his lifelong dream to become a Pokemon master. Looks like he had a lot of goals to achieve over his lifetime.

Time to jot down my favorite twenty Pokemon belonged or used to belong to the kid from Pallet Town who wants to be the very best like no one ever was.

1) Pikachu - Of course, Pikachu has been Ash's longtime partner when the show began and as years passed by, the bond between Ash and Pikachu has become stronger than ever. Between you and I, this long-term relationship between Ash and Pikachu has been turning into a so-called love story and for them, they really do believe in forever! No matter how many times Pikachu got hurt in the heat of battle or how many times Team Rocket got their dastardly hands on Pikachu, Ash's love to Pikachu will always solve everything. Now the one question remains in my mind, is Ash's Pikachu male or female?

2) Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard - Ever since Ash saved a Charmander during a rainstorm after it was abandoned by its trainer, it became part of Ash's team and later, it evolved into Charmeleon and then Charizard. The relationship between Ash snd his Charizard can be very harsh but with mutual understandings, this Pokemon will always comes back to Ash fron time to time.

3) Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree - Caterpie's the first Pokemon Ash caught but in a very questionable method no trainer ever done. When evolved into Metapod, Ash tries to protect it even from the hordes of Kakuna and Beedrill until it evolves into Butterfree. Sadly, the two parted ways after Ash saved a flock of Butterfrees from Team Rocket's evil plan.

4) Bulbasaur - Bulbasaur's quite a decent part of Ash's team before. He onced battled it to become part of it.

5) Squirtle - The Squirtle that Ash had is once the leader of the notorious Squirtle Squad. Making up from its bad boy image, Squirtle seems to have a soft side.

6) Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot - At first, Ash caught Pidgey by accident and then it stayed on until it evolved into Pidgeotto and then Pidgeot.

7) Heracross - Heracross is the first Pokemon Ash caught during the Johto Journeys and despite being soft, it's the most powerful in Ash's arsenal and it will do everything it can if things get desperate.

8) Noctowl - The Noctowl Ash caught is rather a shiny one, a Noctowl with a different coloring. Apart from its shiny appearance, Noctowl's the trump card thanks to its Foresight that can expose every Ghost-type Pokemon in existence and then attack it. Clever, I dare say.

9) Totodile - This energetic Pokemon is what made Ash and Misty argued who will belong. They ended up throwing each orher's Poke Ball but because no one knows who caught it, they fought for it and Ash wins Totodile.

10) Treecko/Grovyle/Sceptile - Treecko became part of Ash after saving the tree that Treeckos called it home. Later on, it evolved into Grovyle and then evolved into Sceptile. This Grass-type Pokemon Ash had during the Advanced Generation is all about speed.

11) Snorunt/Glalie - Snorunt is just one of the Pokemon who loves Ash's hat so it stoled his as well as his badge case. After saving it from Team Rocket, Snorunt became part of Ash's and later evolved into Glalie during its intense training to perfect its Ice Beam.

12) Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape - Chimchar's story is similar to Ash's Charmander. It was once abandoned by Ash's rival, Paul, and then became part of Ash's team. Later, it evolved into Monferno and then Infernape, where its anger point is deemed to be difficult for Ash.

13) Starly/Staravia/Staraptor - Ash caught a Starly after his Aipom attacked it. Later, it evolved into Staravia during a fight against Team Rocket and learned Brave Bird, and then evolved into a powerful Staraptor. Staraptor's the strongest of the Flying-type Pokemon Ash had in his lifetime and it overcome numerous situations that Ash can't.

14) Buizel - Ash got a Buizel from his companion Dawn after traded his Aipom due to the tendency that Buizel prefers battling rather than taking part at contests. A very excellent choice to have Buizel part of Ash's team thanks to its speed courtesy of its Aqua Jet. It once pinned down Crasher Wake's Floatzel during a gym battle at Pastoria City.

15) Tepig/Pignite - Tepig's situation is just like Charmander and Chimchar because it was onced abandoned by its former trainer and became part of Ash's team. Thanks to its friendship between Ash and his Snivy, it defeated the trainer who abandoned it at the first place. It even evolved into Pignite as well!

16) Oshawott - Having tailed Ash while starting his Unova adventure, it became part of his team. Very eager, it tends to pop out from the Poke Ball every time there's a battle but it can be careless at all times.

17) Pidove/Tranquill/Unfezant - Ash's first caught Unova Pokemon is a Pidove and it saved Pikachu from Team Rocket. Then, it evolved into Tranquill while averting a crisis in Castelia City, and then evolved into an Unfezant after being injured by Skyla's Swanna during a gym battle. The Unfezant Ash had is female and female Unfezants are good at flying, making it an excellent advantage to try out its Aerial Ace attack and won the battle.

18) Fletchling/Fletchinder/Talonflame - Ash caught a Fletching after his Froakie succeeded in attacking it. Later, during a battle against a sky trainer's Talonflame, it evolved into Fletchinder, armed with a Flame Charge that makes it quicker, and then during a battle against a legendary Moltres, it evolved into a Talonflame, armed with a very powerful Brave Bird attack.

19) Goomy/Sligoo/Goodra - Ash and his friends once rescued a lone Goomy and became part of Ash's team after fending off against Team Rocket. Later, it evolved into Sligoo, and when things get soaked up in the rain, it evolved into a more powerful Goodra. Goodra's responsible for having Ash defeated Clemont in a gym battle but Ash said goodbye to Goodra after saving its homeland from Team Rocket.

20) Froakie/Frogadier/Greninja - Ash's first Kalos Pokemon was Froakie after being tailed by it and protect Pikachu. Later, it evolved into Frogadier and then later, Greninja. Unknown to many, Greninja comes with a special power to transform into Ash-Greninja due to its bond between the two.

What's your favorite Pokemon that Ash had? Next time, the best Pokemon belonged by his companions.

Broncos won historic SB50 match

The 50th Super Bowl match is by no means the most historic of all the past Super Bowl matches since the first Super Bowl occurred in the 60's and with the match between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, this was one heck of a match that, of course, will be written in the American football history books.

At the score of 24-10, the Denver Broncos won the historic match against the Carolina Panthers, all thanks to their questionable but rough offensive and defensive strategies pulled by the Broncos' finest players. The Panthers did well but they were lacking much effort, even for the star player Cam Newton himself.

Post-game, Broncos' Von Miller was named as the SB50 MVP and joining the ranks of the past Super Bowl MVPs in history. As for star player Peyton Manning, during an interview, looks like he puts his retirement decision on hold and he will keep playing to his heart's content.

Well done Broncos for your historic win in the 50th Super Bowl match!

Driving Music (What is the name of the song on car commercial?) Vol. 73

In case you missed it, the Denver Broncos named as the champions of the historic Super Bowl 50 game. Long story short but on this Super Bowl special of the Driving Music segment, let's list down the songs heard on the big game's car commercials provided by some intel recorded by the intellectual few:

1) Somebody To Love by Queen - from the US Honda Ridgeline "Somebody to Love" commercial

2) Apache by Incredible Bongo Band - from the US Toyota Prius "Prius Car Chase" commercial

3) Whatta Man by Salt 'n' Pepa With En Vogue - from the US Hyundai Elantra "Ryanville" commercial

4) Runnin' With The Devil by Van Halen - from the Acura "What He Said" commercial

5) Starman by David Bowie - from the US Audi R8 "Commander" commercial

6) Another One Bites The Dust - from the US Hyundai Genesis "Dad" commercial

...and that is it. Hope you've enjoyed the game as much as enjoying the big game ads!

20 Years of Pokemon: Your favorite per type?

Continuing on the celebration for twenty years of Pokemon, it's time to focus on my favorite Pokemon per type. Up until now, there are 18 Pokemon types from Grass to Fairy and these types decide the battling factor for every trainer if they have the knowledge to know what's super effective against, not very effective against, and what doesn't affect. Between you and me, each type has its fanbase and if somebody asked me...do you have a favorite Pokemon? Well, I can tell you what's my favorite Pokemon...by type!

Bug - I would say Vivillon because despite being dreadful that it's considered as the, well you get the idea, Vivillon is well famous for its different kinds of patterns most trainers wanted to collect by trading each others' Vivillons for patterns. Although I'm not nearly once for pattern collections, I find Vivillon to be quite a charm for me.

Dragon - I think it would have to be Salamence because thanks to its brutal offensive powers as well as its Intimidate ability, I see Salamence to be quite a multirole in terms of Pokemon battles. With its Mega Evolution introduced in ORAS, my strong liking to Salamence has been powered up a little further.

Fairy - Like everyone else in the world, I would prefer Sylveon. Since the introduction of Fairy types in XY (perhaps I have a strong theory that someone worked under the influence of Project Fairy in the making of these games), some are very skeptical about Fairy types. There are those new to the franchise and there are existing ones reclassified as Fairies, but either way, the Fairy type has been quite a welcoming addition to the franchise and this Sylveon, one of the Eevee friends, takes the cake.

Fire - Charizard because it has been the pride of every Pokemon trainer in the world since the very beginning. Red from Pokemon Origins has one, Ash used to had one of those, even Alain (the guy from the Mega Evolution specials and now reappearing as Ash's formidable rival in the XYZ series) has one! Anyway, I have always been a fan of Charizard since the first games and while stories get older, Charizard gets better.

Ghost - My favorite Ghost Pokemon will always be Gengar because apart from its scary appearance, Gengar's quite a quick fighter to lunge its foes with its long range attacks. I have been in love with Gengar since the first games, although I didn't managed to have one in the past due to the fact that Gengar evolves by trading.

Ground - Groudon is my favorite Ground Pokemon because apart from being one of the Hoenn legends, Groudon's proven to be the most powerful of all the Ground types and with Primal Reversion, the unique combination of Ground-and-Fire really is proof that Groudon is the master of the lands, which is the same way as Kyogre rules the seas.

Normal - I couldn't think of a favorite Normal type Pokemon but if there's one, there's room for Swellow because I find Swellow to be quite a dark horse in battles thanks to its Guts ability. When Poisoned, Burned, or Paralyzed, its attack power is boosted and with the combination of this Guts ability and the Facade attack, Swellow's bound to deliver some serious damage to its enemies. Clever, I dare say.

Psychic - I know one and it has to be Gardevoir because in my previous posts, I've listed Gardevoir as one of the prettiest Pokemons in history and apart from being a graceful looking Pokemon, Gardevoir is a fierce fighter that takes advantage to its Special Attack power.

Steel - Aegislash for me because back then, I managed to take advantage of Aegislash's strategy involving defend-first-before-attack. That's when its King's Shield comes into play and while taking advantage of its incredibly high defense on Shield Form, I can unleash powerful attacks when switched to Blade Forme. Then, I managed to have Aegislash defend again. This whole defend-before-attack trick is what made others taking advantage of Aegislash.

Dark - Of all the Dark types, my bet would be on Zoroark. It's a shame that I didn't put Zoroark in the list of scariest Pokemons but what made me surprised is its Illusion ability that takes the appearance of the last conscious party Pokemon upon battling. It's like a Ditto in so many ways but there's a chink; it can only use most of Zoroark's moves. Tricky, isn't it? You couldn't tell unless the impostor used the Night Daze. If it uses it, it's bound to be Zoroark's.

Electric - Pikachu will always be, and ever be, my favorite Pokemon not just for the Electric types but for the rest of the Pokemon. It's the cutest, the prettiest, and the scariest Pokemon I will always remember for.

Fighting - I strongly believed that Lucario is my favorite Fighting-type Pokemon just like the rest of the world does. While its defense is somewhat lacking, it's amazing combination of offense and speed is what made Lucario great on Pokemon battles and when its Mega Evolution's engaged, Lucario can triumph any challenge it sees fit.

Flying - Yeah, I admit, I should have mentioned....someone from far above, but if I have a favorite Flying-type Pokemon, I think it would have to be Talonflame because it's brave enough to use whatever recoil attacks it see fit and it's quick on its Gale Wings. Get it?

Grass - For Grass-types, my favorite will be the pretty Roserade because I am in love in its appearance and it makes me want to have one, although I may find that its attributes haven't tested yet in the field of battle, but the more I'm using Roserade, the more it will unleash its inner potential.

Ice - From the long list of Ice types, my favorite will be Weavile because not only it's offensive, it's darn quick. I wish I want to try Weavile out when Pokken Tournament comes out because I wanna see if that Weavile lives up to its quicky promise.

Poison - Well, you got me, but Muk's my favorite Poison-type Pokemon because its scary appearance is what made me swoon since my childhood.

Rock - I am no fan of Rock-type but if I had a favorite, I believe it's Aerodactyl. Having emerged from the Old Amber fossil, Aerodactyl's well known for its combination of brute force and speed and with its Mega Evolution engaged, Aerodactyl knows who's laughing now at the end of the battle.

Water - Blastoise is not just my favorite Water-type Pokemon but it's the first Pokemon I will always remember for ever since I had a Blue Version when I was a elementary school kid. Blastoise and I had been in numerous challenges and I had fond memories with it. You will always be my first Pokemon.

Well, that's all there is to it but the Pokemon 20 year celebration continues because throughout the year 2016, let's talk more about what's what in the world of Pokemon from games, the TV show, and whatever. Until then, see you next time.

Honda Odyssey Hybrid

For the first time in the Honda Odyssey's two-decade-long history, a hybrid model is offered in Honda's flagship minivan that has been nosing around against the likes of Toyota's Alphard and Nissan's Elgrand. So, what's it all about?

2016 Honda Odyssey Hybrid

Previewed from last year's Tokyo Motor Show and now on sale across Japan, the Odyssey Hybrid offers the same luxury features as the normal Odyssey would provide now with the hybrid powertrain to keep things going the distance. Of course, Japan is the nation where the hybrid car is born and is now spreading worldwide like a viral outbreak, but underneath the Odyssey Hybrid is the same hybrid powertrain derived from the Honda Accord.

It comes with the similar Sport Hybrid i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) powertrain and if you need a quick refresher on that, it uses three different engine modes such as EV Drive Mode, Hybrid Drive Mode, and Engine Drive Mode.

With the Hybrid Drive Mode engaged, both the 2.0L i-VTEC petrol engine and the electric motor are working in unison to deliver a combined power output of 184PS of power and 315Nm of torque. With all that torque, looks like this minivan is off to a clean getaway now without all the drama involved. As for the fuel economy, it's no surprise that with the hybrid drivetrain and the CVT gearbox equipped, it's capable of 26.0km/L, which is surprisingly more than what the hybrid Toyota Alphard gets. Sharp move, though.

Apart from its hybrid powertrain, the new Odyssey Hybrid still has the same suspension layout as the normal gasoline variant, meaning it still comes with the front MacPherson struts, rear Torsion Beam, and Rack and Pinion Steering. Although it feels heavier to drive than the normal Odyssey and less exciting to drive for an individual, it's rather good and comfortable to drive on a day-to-day basis. Apart from using it as a family car on your next family bonding, it's well suited as an escort for celebrities, politicians, or any other VIPs. Sounds classy, right?

The Odyssey Hybrid starts at 3,560,000 Yen and while this may be more expensive to own than the normal Odyssey, it's surprisingly cheaper to own than the hybrid version of the Toyota Alphard, making it a smart buy.

Available Colors: White Orchid Pearl, Super Platinum Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Premium Venus Black Pearl, Premium Deep Rosso Pearl, and Premium Spice Blue Pearl.

Forza Motorsport 6: 500 miles a day

svx

Subaru's classic JDM 4WD grand tourer, the Alcyone SVX, is undoubtedly one of the most requested rides to be featured on Forza Motorsport 6 and with the release of the Alpinestars Car Pack, we have been given the chance to try out this classic Subie noteworthy of its "500miles a day" slogan. Why? Because it said so in the TV commercial back in the 90's. Anyway, so what's it all about the SVX?

svx (2)

Launched in 1991, the Alcyone SVX served as Subaru's flagship grand tourer coupe with the slogan "500miles a day".

Apart from its Giugiaro-inspired styling and its glass-to-glass round-canopy, the Alcyone SVX comes with a water-cooled 3.3L boxer-six engine and Subaru's first variable torque distribution electronically controlled four-wheel drive (VTD-4WD). The engine produces 230HP of power and 228lb-ft if torque while mated exclusively with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. It comes with strut suspension on both front and rear wheels as well as ventilated disc brakes.

Despite the heavyweight body, the SVX drives just like a luxury grand tourer with its comfort and accessible handling suitable for the long-distance cruising ahead.

svx (3)

It's kinda shame that despite its futuristic styling reminiscent of its arch-rival, the first-generation Mitsubishi Eclipse, its auto-only gearbox is what made the SVX failed as a sportscar made for the discerning car enthusiasts looking for some alternatives to the R32 Skyline GT-R and no matter how far you'll go, the SVX doesn't feel as exciting to drive as today's WRX STi or BRZ, but despite its massive flaws, the SVX remains a future classic not by its fanbase and its Giugiaro-penned styling but it's the rarity that makes it hard to find one nowadays. I kinda admit I was swooned by nostalgia because every time I drive the SVX in game, it kinda reminiscent of the classic commercial. Makes me wanna fall asleep and dream that I'm seeing the SVX's Japanese commercial again and again and again, day in and day out.

Anyway, no time for nostalgia trip because I head on the Top Gear Test Track on a rainy day to compare against other coupes Subaru made throughout its history.

22b brz

What I brought here is the past and present Subaru coupes the SVX will face today. On the top, it's the perfect version of the Impreza Retna called the 22B STi, styled in honor of the WRC-winning rally car, and in the bottom, it's the Subaru BRZ, a rear-wheel drive coupe built in collaboration with Toyota. Relax, this is just a Toyota 86 in Subaru's clothing.

Anyway, since it's raining outside the track, I'd expect the 4WD Subies will perform just the way it was made, especially the SVX, because the BRZ's a rear-wheel drive and rear-wheel drives can be problematic in the rainy weather...or is it? You see, despite the BRZ being short on power compared to the SVX, it's surprisingly lighter even though it comes with rear-wheel drive. So, without further ado, let's drive these two-door Subies round the Top Gear Track, even when it rains!

After a lap round the Top Gear Track, the results are in. The SVX did in in 1:41.825 while the 22B STi did it in 1:36.916, and the BRZ in 1:40.754.

The conclusion; even though the SVX failed to meet its sportscar credentials in Subaru history, it still is a not-so-bad grand tourer that you can enjoy for as much as the driver likes. I wanna drive this car for just 500 miles a day. Whoop! There goes the commercial. Ha ha ha... Still, it's good to have the SVX part of the FM6 car roster.

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: North Korea launched a missile

The Japanese government says that North Korea has launched what is believed to be an ICBM on Sunday morning, ahead of the planned Monday launch schedule. Officials verified that one projectile was fired from the western coast of the Korean Peninsula heading south at around 0931 Hours Japan Time.

The so-called ballistic missile was split into five parts. One fell into the Yellow Sea about 150km west while the other two landed in the East China Sea about 250km southwest. They estimate another part flew through Japanese airspace over Okinawa and dropped to the Pacific Ocean, about 2,000km south of Japan. A fifth part also went over Japanese airspace and continued southward.
