- According to French president Francois Hollande, last week's Paris attacks that killed hundreds of people in several key areas were planned by the Islamic State militant group in Syria. He said those attacks were conceived and planned in Syria and they were organized in Belgium and perpetrated on French soil with French accomplices.

- As of now, five attackers behind the Paris attacks had been identified so far. The recent is a 28-year-old Samy Amimour who committed a suicide bombing on the Bataclan hall. He was placed under judicial supervision on terrorism charges three years ago but he escaped a year later. Also, the suicide bomber outside the soccer stadium was identified was a male who had applied for refugee status somewhere in Greece last month, His passport carries the name of 25-year-old Ahmad Al Mohammad of Syria.

- The chief of the Central Intelligence Agency warned that the Islamic State will launch possible attacks in multitude of countries across the globe, including the US.

- The recent world leaders arrived in Manila in preparation for the APEC Summit are US President Barack Obama, Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto, Chinese president Xi Jinping, as well as Canada's new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

- Russian track and field athletes demand to lift the ban against their nation's sports federation in order to compete in next year's Olympics. The International Association of Athletics Federations suspended the All Russia Athletic Federation after a World Anti-Doping Agency commission verified allegations of systematic doping.
