- The People's Republic of China admitted to detaining two Japanese men separately on suspicion of espionage. Since China enacted an anti-spying law late last year, authorities have been carrying out crackdowns nationwide.

- A group that claimed to be an Islamic State affiliate said it was held responsible for the murder of an Italian in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka. This is the first attack in Bangladesh to be carried out by the said militants as an online statement posted that they were behind the murder of an aid worker who was shot dead while jogging.

- Most Ukrainian airlines are not allowed to fly into Russia beginning October 25th, in response to a similar ban imposed on major Russian airlines by Ukraine.

- Whistleblower behind the NSA scandal Edward Snowden opened a Twitter account and gained hundreds and thousands of followers in less than half a day.

- Continuing on the Volkswagen diesel crisis, the German automotive giant says that they will refit vehicles affected by the dubious software that caused most of their diesel-powered cars cheat through emissions tests.

- American electric car maker Tesla launched their ambitious Model X crossover that can seat up to seven people, features a bizarre feature called the  "Bioweapon Defense Mode" that eliminates fumes, bacteria, and other stuff coming on the inside, signature Falcon Wing doors, and promises a mileage of over 257 miles, depending on the variant.

- Shooting for the final Resident Evil/Biohazard film is underway somewhere in South Africa.

- In case you missed the recent Eat Bulaga kalyeserye; Alden Richards admitted the truth about holding Yaya Dub's hands last Saturday. Lola Nidora got furious when she found out what Alden did but because of such honesty done by AlDub, Lola Nidora forgave them. Yaya Dub told Alden she had a surprise for him but what is it? - The brand new Honda Civic Type R is set to launch in Japan at the end of 2015 and it will be strictly limited to 750 units. Made in the UK, the new Civic Type R is powered by Honda's brand new 2,0L VTEC TURBO engine developing 310PS of power. It is the fastest front-wheel drive hot hatch to lap the Nurburgring in 7:50.63. It will be having a Japan premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show this October.
