Let's Do The News! (December 4, 2014)

Welcome back. Here is your current sitrep:

- Monitoring on the situation of Typhoon Ruby, the US Navy's Joint Typhoon Warning Center upgraded it into a "supertyphoon". As of now, it packs max winds of over 240kph with 296kph of gusts. Despite the worst, PAGASA still classifies it as a "Typhoon" with max winds of 195kph near the center and 230kph of gusts. Chances of making landfall in the Philippines? Very very high so watch out. Any day now, we might have Yolanda Part Two on our hands here.

- Although Iran's air strike against the ISIS isn't what the US military hoped for, US Secretary of State John Kerry appreciated the Iranians' help to combat against Islamic aggressors. Meanwhile, French president Francois Hollande said that the nation's military is prepared for airstrikes against those Islamic aggressors in Iraq.

- Violent protests broke out after a grand jury rejected the charge against an NYPD officer who choked a black man to death, days after a similar decision erupt such protests in most US cities. Those cases reignited a longstanding debate about relations between policemen and African-Americans.

- In Germany, mourners flocked to the funeral of a young German-Turkish woman named Tugce Albayrak, who became a symbol of civic courage after sacrificing her life, protecting two teenage girls from  a fast food restaurant fracas. She has been given a posthumous Federal Order of Merit award.

- The American-based aviation company Boeing announced that it completed the first test flight with "green diesel" which helps reduce emissions in aviation. Their 787 prototype called the ecoDemonstrator successfully flew with 85% conventional fuel and 15% green diesel, according to officials.

- CURSE WORD! Ferrari unveiled the track-only LaFerrar-based FXX K track car which delivers a massive 1021bhp of power output as well as an array of aerodynamics suitable for this track-only version of the LaFerrari hybrid hypercar.

- More Pokemon-related toys from Takara Tomy on the radar! For this month, expect a mix of XY and ORAS- related toys in the mix! In the MonColle lineup, they've added Mega Sceptile, Mega Swampert, Hydreigon, and Goomy! For the Pokemon XY plushies, Goomy (with its mouth open), Frogadier, and Braixen are added. Also, the Mega Bracelet toy, as seen in the recently-launched Pokemon ORAS 3DS games, is coming this month. It's just like the Mega Ring from XY only different and that's great if you're cosplaying as either a boy or a girl hero character from ORAS!

- There's now a December update for the PS3-exclusive F2P flight shooting game Ace Combat Infinity! So, what's new for this month?
  •  The Moby Dick Pursuit and Stonehenge Returns Special Raid Missions are back and watch out for the brand new "Moby Dick Pursuit IV" and "STONEHENGE RETURNS IV". These special raid missions are a lot more harder than the previous ones so make sure your aircraft is well prepared for the extremes!
  • New Online Co-Op Missions added such as the "Tokyo Martial Law (HARD)", which is like the normal Tokyo Martial Law mission...only this time with harder and more enemy reinforcements, and the brand-new fan-favorite "Area B7R Dogfight Battle".
  • New aircrafts rolling out such as the F-16XL, X-29A, and the FB-22 Strike Raptor. Look out for the new "BOMBER" category as well. BOMBER-type aircrafts are large, slower, and less maneuverable than other aircraft but their air-to-ground weapons can't be beat! The B-1B Lancer and the B-2A Spirit make a nice welcome to the new BOMBER lineup in ACI.
  • "Special Supply Ticket" feature is added! These tickets can be exchanged for limited-time items by selecting "Special Supply Items Catalog" in the Hangar.
  • You can now register up to 12 Instant Radio Messages.
  • The "Sign In Bonus" feature has been improved and rather than credits, you can score cool bonuses such as research reports, Special Supply Tickets, Emblems, and more in accordance with the number of times you have signed in.
...and so much more!

Area B7R Dogfight Battle now playable in the
latest Ace Combat Infinity update!
