Let's Do The News (August 23, 2012)

(applause)

..and! And! Here is the list of trophies I've collected so far..

- Liquid Sun
- Solid Sun
- Third Sun
- Twin Suns
- Old Sun
- Laughing Octopus Doll
- Frog Soldier Doll
- Raging Raver Doll
- Crying Wold Doll
- Screaming Mantis Doll
- Hands Up!
-SUNLIGHT!
- Infinite ammo.
- Hurt me more!
- Drum Cam Addict
- Crop Circle
- That Tune Is His Mind Control Music
- LIQUID!

...So, I got 18 out of 34 MGS4 trophies as of now. I finished the whole game in one day in LIQUID EASY difficulty, which is rubbish but this is where I can concentrate on the SOLAR GUN, and some other bonuses needed for my next gameplay and soon, tackling THE BOSS EXTREME difficulty. Quite a souvenir for me.

....Wait, wait, wait. Have you said that Konami's too late to implement the Trophy Support for the MGS4 game? Well, I think you do have a point but some games launched before that system was implemented updated it. Remember GTA4? Well, that game was launched months before the trophy system was implemented and they responded that with a patch. I wonder why did Konami didn't patched MGS4 with trophy support 4 years ago? Is it because of developmental resources?

(audience laughing)

Now let's do the news!

Right and let's begin with this...it was the 4th year for the Gran Turismo trophy award at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours D'elegance. This year, though, the Gran Turismo trophy award for this year has been awarded to the classic car that will soon be featured in future GT titles. This car was... the 1954 Ferrari 500 Mondial Pinin Farina Coupe (Serial No. 0422MD)

So, this classic Ferrari won the Gran Turismo award on the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance?! I'm impressed for that classic car to won a special award curated by Kazunori Yamauchi himself. Incredible.

Yeah, incredible enough for this car to be featured in future Gran Turismo titles, perhaps.

Right. And oh, while on the subject of something new, something old, something borrowed, something blue, we've picked up some very awkward news that BBC Worldwide's facing penalties for...for hosting Top Gear videos on YouTube? What?! Penalties? For what? Something illegal?

Uh...I think it refers that their on-demand clips, mostly less than 10 minutes long are too TV-size, well that was according to some regulatory body called The Authority for Television on Demand (ATVOD).

ATVOD?

Yep. ATVOD. They said that content providers like the BBC, Nickelodeon and MTV that show on-demand content that is "television like," that are editorially responsible for the content, and that make it available to the public need to pay a yearly fee to ATVOD. Because of BBC uploading Top Gear clips that are too TV-sized, they have to pay £2,900 for each channel (that's about $4,600 USD).

So...2,900 Pounds for each channel? What about others such as BBC America channel, BBC Earth channel, BBC Entertainment channel, BBC Food channel, BBC Knowledge channel, BBC Worldwide channel, Classic Doctor Who, and EastEnders channel? You said that because of the clips that are too TV-sized, the BBC have to pay 2.900 Pounds so to total it up, the BBC will cost them...hmmmm.....hmmmm.....hmmmm...

SEVERAL CALCULATIONS LATER...

...hmmmm.....hmmmm....hmmm....ah!

What?

They cost them about 26,100 Pounds overall!

No, f***ing way!

I know! What have they done? I mean, think about the yearly basis they would end up....It appears that the BBC is now joining with the ranks of media outlets questioning ATVOD decisions.

Exactly. Anyway, while on the subject of the BBC...Season 7 of Doctor Who premieres this September 1, 2012!

(applause)

ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS
Yes I know. I know! I know! This is the moment we've been hearing about this! Season 7 will air this September on BBC. Specifically, 7:20PM British Time on BBC One & BBC One HD. For our American friends, it's 9:00PM ET or 8:00PM Central or 7:00PM Pacific on BBC America. For Canadians, it's 9:00PM ET or 8:00PM Central or 7:00PM Pacific on Space. Happy now?

Yes! We are very happy so....

So what?

Let's rush to the groceries, tell your parents to buy some fish fingers, custard, some tea, and some Jammie Dodgers (the biscuits The Eleventh Doctor thought of the TARDIS self-destruct device until Strategist Dalek noticed it isn't), put on your fezzes and your bowties, tell your friends and sit down because The Doctor is back in the house!

Ah! He he he....Wait what? Jammie Dodgers?

Yes. Jammie Dodgers. Delicious biscuits with some jam in the center. Not familiar with that biscuit? It's like a Dewberry Tart of some sorts.

Oh! I get it now! E he he he....Anyway, because this is Series 7 Part One - only five episodes will be featured this year, making a farewell to Amy and Rory. If five episodes are done, then we wave goodbye to the Ponds and we just have to wait 'till the 2012 Christmas special for The Eleventh Doctor to come back and introduce a new companion played by Jenna Louise-Coleman, something that The Doctor wants to move on with a little bit of kissing (LOLZ). Series 7 Part Two will be on next year, eight episodes with The Doctor and his new ally, not to mention the Eleventh's new clothes.

Yeah, yummy! Save the Daleks, I mean, date! SAVE THE DATE! Repeat, Save the Date! September 1, 2012! See you in the TARDIS!

Right! And oh, while on the subject of the Ponds, Arthur Darvill, who is Rory Williams, will star in first West End production of Our Boys. Never heard of it? Well, you should be...

Yes, this theatrical play titled Our Boys tackles on of five young soldiers recuperating from injuries sustained in battle, will open at London’s Duchess Theatre on Wednesday 3 October. This was named Best New Play at the 1993 Writers' Guild Fringe Awards. Also joining the ranks were Matthew Lewis, better known as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films; Cian Barry, who appeared in ITV’s Titanic mini-series; and stage talents Jolyon Coy and Lewis Reeves.

Ahem?! They have Rory Williams from Doctor Who and then Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter series? Oh dear! Another timey-wimey event occured!

(audience laughing)

Indeed. It was a timey-wimey coincidence that one of those main characters from this theatrical play could be the one who is Rory from Doctor Who and the one who is Neville from Harry Potter. This is like "HEY! WHO ARE YOU?". Neville Longbottom, this is Rory Williams. Rory Williams, this is Neville Longbottom...(laughing)

(audience laughing)

What a card! An unexpected twist! How about a little call from SIR DOCTOR OF TARDIS?

(laughing)

Okay, enough TARDIS stuff and enough of those Jammie Dodgers because what we need are 12 Jammie Dodgers and a fez.

Fez?

Yes, a fez. I wanna wear a fez. Fezzes are cool.

(audience laughing)

Whatever you...madman in a box. Anyway, we've just picked up the news that....oh! Anyone saw the poster for the horror movie titled Guni-Guni, which stars Lovi Poe? Guess, what? We heard that the movie poster for Guni-Guni stole the idea from the movie poster of a Thai horror movie titled Alone. Similarity? We think yes.

Guni-Guni copied a poster from a Thai movie

See the difference? No wonder they took that idea from a Thai movie! Turns out that this isn't the first of its kind though. Such examples were South Korea's A Tale of Two Sisters, the Chinese copied that poster for the film Illusion Apartment. Then, UK's An Education, India stole that for the film Anjaana Anjaani. It turns out that Indian and Chinese movie stole movie posters from others, this is somewhat a copy-paste experience.

Oh....so that's....

That is a Bombshell we can end this segment. See you next time and oh, before we end, here's a real bombshell; US version of The Office ends next year. Ninth season of the US version of The Office will be the last, says NBC Universal.
