Like a Biribiri

With the advent of new 100% Electric cars, it seems that we are now stepping in the age of "biribiri". If you say biribiri, No. We are not referring to our favorite To Aru character, Mikoto Misaka. If you say biribiri, we say it's electricity.

With the upcoming documentary flick, Revenge of the Electric Car, coming soon, it seems the electric car craze is now a step further to create a better world. The world of Zero Emissions can be sound fine but this is a start.

This is the start of the "Biribiri" phenomenon...

NO!

NOT THAT!

THAT!

..well, that's my last blog for the year 2010. I hope I had fun of that year! Next year would be a brighter year for everyone.

Thank you and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!

My Lords of Shadow First Impressions

When I got this game as a gift since Christmas Day, what can I say about Hideo Kojima's latest creation of 2010 since Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, debuted since April 2010?

For me, the gameplay is superb because of the deadly combos a player must pull in order to take out a battalion of immortal enemies, even vampires and werewolves.

It takes determination to master the game, but this game is more of a challenge. I first played that game and I finished it in two days.

Every time I defeated an enemy, I gained tons of experience points to purchase new combos that can be proven useful. I can also buy artwork based on the game, from concept art, sketches, and storyboards.

When the first time I encountered a puzzle, I have to find the scroll for this puzzle. Surely, if you solve it on your own without the help of a hint scroll, you'll gain tons of experience, but sorry for me because I solved most of the puzzles with help, and rarely without help.

I also proven that if you want to heal during a battle, Light magic should help, but if you want increased power on your attacks, Shadow magic can help. Trust me, these magics are proven useful, especially the boss battles.

Thank you Kojima Productions for this latest creation and good luck on your upcoming projects! Speaking of which, for Japanese-speaking otakus who owned this game felt very amusing because most of the voiceovers from the Metal Gear series, including Keiji Fujiwara (Drebin from MGS4) as Gabriel, Kikuko Inoue (Rosemary from MGS2 and MGS4) as Marie, Mugihito (Hot Coldman from MGSPW) as Zobek, and others that made it an all-star cast!

Family Guy presents It's A Trap!

Family Guy presents
It's A Trap!

Family Guy does Star Wars Episode VI by spoofing the final chapter of the Star Wars trilogy and it was one overacting spoof that made it more hilarious than the two Family Guy Star Wars specials such as Blue Harvest (since 2007) and Something Something Something Dark Side (since 2009). With all of the O.A. stuff poured it on the Family Guy-gagged version of Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of Jedi, I bet this is one heck of a ride to the bathroom to laugh all you want, remembering those damn funny scenes. What's even more to fuel up the whole gig is adding Roger and Klaus from American Dad and Tim and Rallo from Cleveland Show as special guests on It's A Trap!

For those who watched the original Return of the Jedi story, you probably know what that meant and this gagged version still brings Chris as Luke, Brian as Chewbacca, Peter as Han Solo, Lois as Leia, Quagmire as C3PO, Cleveland as R2-D2, and Stewie as (you know who) Darth Vader. This chapter packed with gags, gags, and more gags filled as Luke continues to battle against the Dark Side.

Guess our hate got us even more powerful and the jokes never been so damn fresh, funny, and The Force will bring us super stomach aches after spending the whole hour laughing. Whoever watched this would want to watch it a thousand times than Blue Harvest (the Family Guy-gagged version of Star Wars Episode IV) and Something Something Something Dark Side (Family Guy-gagged version of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back). Pinch me, I witnessed the humor and makes me want to see the Millenium Falcon blow up the Death Star II's power station and take note the Power Station band. I guess this was unknowingly a LOL (laugh out loud) feat for Seth McFarlane and friends to blow up the whole Star Wars franchise while it lasted. Episode IV, V, and VI were just the beginning for them and spoofing it was a creative fun. I terrifically love it!

Featuring the voices of : Seth McFarlane, Seth Green, Mike Henry, Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Patrick Wartburton, et. al.

Super-hot old Mustang appeared in Banana Split's Damoobs ni Kuya Jobert

Ford Mustang on Banana Split's
Damoobs ni Kuya Jobert

A first-generation Ford Mustang appeared on some portion of Banana Split, called Damoobs ni Kuya Jobert, a segment where Jobert teaches a man how to get a girl by any means necessary.

To impress a girl if a smile is not enough, Jobert's advice is to have a sports car, like that Ford Mustang muscle car on that segment.

Also on the mini-series The Amazing Microwave Pandesal Rangers, the bad guy wearing black tortured our heroes, interrogating them that where is "The Amazing Microwave Oven", but someone's here and who is that mystery hero? Tune in next week!

Peugeot iOn

2011 Peugeot iOn

Also under the partnership between Mitsubishi Motors and PSA Peugeot Citroen, the Peugeot iOn shares the same electric car status as the Citroen C-ZERO and the Mitsubishi i MiEV.

Since both the Peugeot iOn and the Citroen C-ZERO were both built by Mitsubishi Motors and sold for the European market, most European buyers can experiencing some confusions on which electric car they would buy. For Peugeot fans may choose the iOn and for Citroen fans may choose the C-ZERO.

More importantly, both the iOn and the C-ZERO are equipped with the Mitsubishi YF41 motor that can go for about 160km in one full charge. And yes, a full power goes from about 6 hours of charging. Power output is 64PS/3,000-6,000r.p.m. and torque output is about 18.4kg-m/0-2,000r.p.m.

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE ION:
I guess both the Peugeot iOn and the Citroen C-ZERO are the same coins for European customers, even when built from Japan via Mitsubishi Motors under their partnership. However, as for my point of view, I would either go for the Peugeot iOn or the Citroen C-ZERO for its eco-car status. 6 hours of charging may take up to about 160km, which means that this electric car can go places around the European continent.

What? Melason is one of the top five unpopular celebs according to TV5's Juicy?

Aw man...

According to TV5's Juicy, these are the top 5 stars under the list of "La Ocean Deep" (Juicy's term for unpopular stars) as follows:

1) Ronnie Liang

2) Chokoleit

3) Mariel Rodriguez

4) Janelle Jamer

5) MELASON tandem (Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco)

What? Melason's in the list of the Top 5 "La Ocean Deep" artists of 2010? That's not true! Melason's a popular and funny tandem in the eyes of Filipinos since Pinoy Big Brother. They made appearances in ASAP, Banana Split, Impostor, and Kokey@Ako.

How can the Melason tandem seems to be unpopular according to TV5's Juicy?

Citroën C5 Second Generation - Phase II

2011 Citroen C5

The second generation Citroen C5 positioned as the flagship executive sedan that counters against rivals such as the Subaru Legacy, Honda Accord, Renault Laguna, Kia Optima, Hyundai Sonata, and Volkswagen Passat. Blessed with the dynamic styling cues that is "more German" than being French, the Citroen C5, in sedan and tourer grades, became a must have since it won the 2009 Semperit Irish Car of the Year and the 2008-2009 Japan Import Car of the Year.

In 2010, the Citroen C5 sedan and tourer are progressed even further by receiving its minor change. The minor change changes the headlamps' design by adding some kind of new "Dark Crystal" treatment and the tail lamp design has changed. The new face lift provides distinctive styling for their discriminative tastes. Also improved for Phase II is the improved Hydractive Suspension for the finest handling and cornering efficiency no matter which road conditions you're on such as dry tarmac, leafy roads, snowy roads, or cruising in the rain.

A new engine is added on the Citroen C5 II Phase II, which is none other than the new e-HDi 110 FAP engine equipped with micro-hybrid technology. The micro-hybrid technology provides an idling stop function that brings the e-HDi engine to a complete halt while being stationary, like for instance stopping at the red light. The primary transmission on the e-HDi 110 FAP engine is the 6-speed electronic-controlled manual transmission with paddle shifters. If you're not into that engine, there are other engine types available such as the HDi 140 FAP, HDi 160 FAP, V6 HDi 240 FAP, HDi 110 FAP, HDi 200 FAP, VTi 120, and the turbocharged THP 155.

My thoughts about the C5:
Citroen's flagship executive medium sedan, the C5, is much more than gaining its modest looks and modest behavior only a sophisticated executive would offer. With the second-generation Citroen C5 now on its second phase, it aims to be an efficient eco-car thanks to the new e-HDi engine with micro-hybrid technology. What's more enjoyable is the updated Hydractive Suspension for increased cornering levels. The new C5 sedan and tourer is the best of both worlds.

A sexier Leaf, an aggressive Juke, and a sovereign Elgrand modded for TAS 2011

2011 Nissan Leaf Aero Style Concept

2011 Nissan Juke Sporty Package

2011 Nissan Elgrand Rider Premium Concept

It begins... Just before the Tokyo Auto Salon 2011 hits this January, Nissan modified some of the new ones for the show, including the new, 100% electric, Nissan LEAF, the Rock'n Small Juke, and the King of Minivan, the Elgrand.

The LEAF modified as the LEAF Aero Style Concept provides overall sexiness and feisty status on Nissan's 100% electric car. The Juke Sporty Package made it even more aggressive. Lastly, the Elgrand Rider Premium Concept is Autech's answer to Modellista's Royal Lounge for the Alphard and Vellfire.

There's also a special appearance of the Nissan Serena C26 Autech Rider, NISMO Elgrand E52, Nissan Fairlady Z (370Z) Version NISMO, and the Motul Autech GT-R as seen on the Super GT races (and now on Gran Turismo 5). There will be a special appearance of the ultimate GT-R modified for the show, the NISMO GT-R RC.

I wonder what would the NISMO GT-R RC look like?

Leaked brochure of the 2012 MR Wagon shows its new face...

2012 Suzuki MR Wagon leaked brochure

Believe it or not, this leaked brochure shows the new face of the 2012 Suzuki MR Wagon and this new face gives somewhat of a sad look...

Still, this will be targeted for several young Japanese women. With the idling stop added, the new MR Wagon can go to about 25.5km/L.

Find out if the new MR Wagon hits Japan this January 2011. A new Nissan Moco may follow...

Is Ford ready for the age of "idling stop"?

According to some sources, including Carscoop, North American carmaker, Ford, is readying the use of idling stop technology on compact cars and crossovers.

By 2012, most Ford models in North America will be equipped with the idling stop function. It seems that North America is now into the age of idling stop technology since Japan.

Looks like North America is now into the age of eco cars...
