THE IDOLM@STER PLATINUM MASTER 01 Miracle Night

And so it begins, the first installment of THE IDOLM@STER PLATINUM MASTER range, inspired by the PS4-exclusive THE IDOLM@STER Platinum Stars video game, available now. And for the first installment, it was inspired from the game's first DLC catalog.

THE IDOLM@STER PLATINUM MASTER
01 Miracle Night

If you recall completely, since the game's launch, the first DLC catalog features the brand new song Miracle Night. Now, the extended version, never before heard, has finally arrived in this first installment of THE IDOLM@STER PLATINUM MASTER CD range, not only you will be able to hear the full version of the song that was offered on the first DLC catalog of Platinum Stars since last month's launch but also the brand new song SMOKY FRUITS, performed by Azusa Miura, Iori Minase, and Ami Futami. Oh, the memories of them that used to be Ryugu Komachi since IM@S 2, eh?

Apart from two new songs, there are two audio drama parts that will stir things up. First, there's the 765 Channel part where how the girls prepared to do this song behind the scenes and the second audio drama part is straight from the files of Kotori Otonashi, regarding what is going on with the 765 PRO idols behind the scenes.

Enjoy the first offering in this new range inspired by the PS4-exclusive THE IDOLM@STER Platinum Stars video game! Hope you'll like it as much as you enjoyed their latest IDOLM@STER game at the comfort of your living room!

Let's Do The News! (August 17, 2016)

- The death toll for the habagat onslaught has now reached 13, with nine missing and six wounded, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. About 55,963 families of 262,271 individuals were dislocated by the habagat rains in Region 1, III, CALABARZON, Region VI, NCR, and CAR.

- Back to the imminent Marcos burial, Malacanang officials said the burial of late President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani would push through in September unless the Supreme Court issues a temporary restraining order against it.

- The Sandiganbayan granted the motion of Pampanga representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to travel to Germany, France, and Hong Kong. The Fourth Division of the Sandiganbayan ordered the former president and her husband, former First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo, to deposit a travel bond before the court. The court granted Arroyo's request to leave for Munich and Paris not earlier than September 19 and must return not later than October 3. As for Hong Kong, Arroyo was allowed to leave not earlier than October 29 and must return by November 4.

- Back for some more of Trump's provocations, Republican Presidentiable Donald Trump vows to reject "bigotry and hatred and oppression in all its forms" following his slow response to the support of a former KKK leader and racially tinged comments about a judge's ethnicity generated controversy. His statement came the same day that was campaigning in the Milwaukee area, where violent protests that erupted after police killed a suspect who authorities said was armed. Still, could be worse, he was leading against his rival Hillary Clinton in the poll among military households by 10 points, based on the survey conducted by NBC News/SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll.

- The death toll from the deadliest flood in Louisiana has reached 11. A levee was overtopped in one parish and over three-quarters of the homes were destroyed in another parish. Eight more parishes were added to the existing federal disaster zone, for a total of 20, and overnight curfews were in effect for over a dozen cities and parishes. Since Friday, most of the state has gotten more than a foot of rain and some parts have been swamped with as much as 30 inches, according to the National Weather Service. It was the worst disaster that struck the US since Hurricane Sandy four years ago.

- The Russians used an Iranian air base for the first time to launch a "concentrated airstrike" against the Islamic State group and other militants in Syria. The move appears to be a gesture against the US and other countries supporting Syrian rebels. Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that Russia flew Tu-22M3 bombers and Su-34 fighter-bombers from the Hamadan air base in western Iran. The planes struck targets linked to Jabhat Fatah al-Sham, formerly the Nusra Front. In response, the US State Department expressed a sense of caution against Russia's use of a military base in Iran and if proven true, Russia would violate the UNSC resolution concerning Iran.

- Norway's Ministry of Transport denied reports that the country is planning to ban gas and diesel vehicles by 2025, saying new technology would do the job (in the long term) rather than regulations. Norway's leaders want to "encourage more environmentally friendly vehicles by using the carrot instead of stick." Meanwhile, Holland's ban on gas-powered cars by 2025 is making progress while older gas-powered vehicles would be legal due to the grandfather clause.

- The Challenger T/A and Charger Daytona special edition models returned at the Dodge lineup for the 2017 model year with special extras in store for each.

- Here's the first trailer for the upcoming TV drama, Till I Met You, starring James Reid, Nadine Lustre, and JC Santos. It's set to air on ABS-CBN on the 29th of August, 2016.

The Cute Wall (Volume Fifteen)

Now, the moment of truth is time because it's now time to do...THE CUTE WALL!

Yes, it's back and we still have some unfinished business to deal with because you may remember putting Laala Manaka on the CUTE WALL a couple of months ago and because she's from Pripara, we're gonna need more Pripara idols in the wall

And so are the Aikatsu Stars.

What?

There are more Aikatsu Stars characters that haven't been put in the wall. We have Ako, Koharu, and Mahiru to name a few. Anyway, more to these gals later on but first...

Mirei Minami

Wait. I know her. That's Mirei Minami, right?

Yes. We'll start off with her.

But, didn't Mirei Minami somewhat a Ritsuko Akizuki-lookalike? Why the one with the blond hair?

The Mirei with the glasses is just her normal look but in her idolized state, she looks like...um...

The idol girl poster from Metal Gear Solid V?

(audience laughing)

Because looking at her idolized state, Mirei looks a lot like a distraction to soldiers everywhere when they saw one plastered on a cardboard box and got distracted by it.

(audience laughing)

For an idol girl, she's quite an eye sore when anyone got distracted by her charms but I think there's one big problem about Mirei.

What is it?

Take a look at her...

(audience laughing)

Oh no! She's broken!

Yeah, she's suffering some kind of technical difficulties. (laughing)

(audience laughing)

So, where should we put her?

Oh, I think I know where to put her. In the NAKAKAGIGIL section.

(audience laughing, then applause)

NAKAKAGIGIL? As in, cuter than Laala?!

(applause)

Anyway, moving on...

Sophy Hojo

Any Pripara fans who are fans of Sophy Hojo?

(audience murmuring)

Sophy Hojo?

Yes. What is it you want to talk about her?

Nothing, really. It's just that philosophy's in her name. Get it? Philo-sophy!

(audience laughing, Fantastic Baby by BIGBANG plays)

So you're saying that Sophy's got some philosophy when it comes to her talents, eh?

Not quite, really, because sometimes, she often gets in her way during their escapades. But hey, at least she looks cute in her idolized self on stage. Couple that with Laala and Mirei and they can be a fantastic trio in the stage.

The SoLaMi Smile huh?

I mean, we got the whole trio in the wall! We got Laala, we got Mirei, who's probably going to be fixed by now, and now, we got Sophy, which I'll be putting her in the CUTE spot. Nothing more, nothing less.

(applause)

Well, now that we got the SoLaMi Smile trio patched on the Cute Wall, with Mirei being the cutest of the three, let's see some more Pripara idols to be named on the wall we have...hey! What are you doing with that girl?

(POW!)

(BLAM!)

(BIFF!)

(KA-BLAM!)

You're name is Sion, huh? Come on, face me! Fight me...like a girl!

Hey, wait a minute!

(POW!)

(BLAM!)

(BIFF!)

(KA-BLAM!)

Several Punches and Kicks Later

Are you okay?

Ugh....ugh...never approach to a buttkicker again, especially when the buttkicker you're facing with is Sion.

Did you mean this Sion?

Sion Todo
Sion Todo?

Huh?

My goodness, you must have mistaken her for Sion from The Bouncer.

(audience laughing)

Never mind. Whoever the heck it is, stay away from Sion...Todo. She's a real buttkicker and she nearly groped me in the middle of...a fight!

(audience laughing)

Anyway, I don't need explanations about that Sion tomboy I dealt with because her buttkicking attitude really explains a lot. I should be putting her in SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE!

(audience laughing)

Huh? But I was going to mention she was part of the trio called Dressing Pafe.

Whatever!

(audience laughing, then applause)

Well, since you mentioned Dressing Pafe, and with Sion listed as SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE because she attacked me from head to toe like...a bouncer from The Bouncer, have you got the West girls ready?

Dorothy and Reona? Yes. They're here a minute ago.

Dorothy and Reona West

Just to be clear, Dorothy's the one with the blue hair while the one with the pink hair Reona. Anyway, thoughts about the gals? They're almost kinda reminds me of the Futami twins from THE IDOLM@STER in so many levels. Hey, at least sorority also applies in the idol girl world eh? I mean, we got the Jougasaki sisters from Cinderella Girls, the Futami twins from THE IDOLM@STER, the Kurosawa sisters from Love Live Sunshine, and the West girls from Pripara. Sisters! By Chance!

(audience laughing)

More like sisters by fate, if you ask me. Anyway, do they act differently? I mean, Dorothy's the spunky one while Reona's the soft one.

Well, now that you mentioned it, where should we put these gals?

With the Dressing Pafe trio now at the wall, they both get seated to the CUTE spot. Welcome to the club, West girls.

(audience laughing, then applause)

So, with SoLaMi Smile and Dressing Pafe on the wall, let's check out what other Pripara idols we can meet up next. Let's see...uh...uh-oh.

What's wrong?

Aroma Kurosu

(some audience ran away in panic)

Uh...who the heck is this? Why is anyone running away?

(audience murmuring)

Who? Aroma Kurosu?

(audience murmuring)

From Gaarmageddon?

(audience murmuring)

She's a...little demon?

(audience murmuring)

She's a thousand times scarier before Yoshiko Tsushima from Love Live Sunshine emerged?

(audience murmuring)

Oh. Now I get it. I understand why anyone got away when they saw this little demon girl. Oh well, best to put it on SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE where it's safe.

(cheers and applause)

You did it!

Did what?

You did the right thing here! Putting that scary-looking Aroma Kurosu to the SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE spot because demons like her don't deserve to be put to the top spot.

In the same way we did to Yohane?

Yeah. So, anyone from Gaarmageddon you might be interested with?

Mikan Shiratama

Mikan Shiratama? Interesting.

She's the exact opposite of the feared Aroma Kurosu you've been dealing with earlier. To put it in other terms, she's the angelic half of Gaarmageddon because Aroma's the devilish half of the trio.

You're right, she's the exact opposite but she likes to eat...a lot. Isn't that obvious for an idol who spends time eating lots of snack? There's another problem with Mikan...she looks boring.

(audience laughing)

Although I find Mikan to be rather boring, I'll just put her in NOT CUTE.

(audience laughing)

All right. If you say so. Who's next?

Gaaruru

Oh, I know this entity. That's... (growling)

(audience laughing)

(growling)

(growling)

(audience laughing)

Why are growling like dogs?

I don't know! Perhaps her name sounds like a growl to me even though it goes G-A-A-R-U-R-U.

(growling)

(growling)

(audience laughing)

(growling)

(growling)

(growling)

(growling)

(growling) SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE (growling)

(audience laughing)

(panting) Sheesh, no time to talk like dogs. At least we got the Gaarmageddon trio listed on the wall. Any others?

TRIANGLE

The TRIANGLE trio?

The TRIANGLE trio. You have Junon, Kanon, and Pinon. The trio really got me on...a few times.

(audience laughing)

Really? Are any one of the TRIANGLE trio turned you on?

Uh...no.

(audience laughing)

So, it's a no-no?

A no-no.

(audience laughing)

Sorry girls. The TRIANGLE trio are dropped to the NOT CUTE spot

(awww)

Well, we got all Pripara idols in store...

Wait! We're not finished yet. We still have a few left and we got a very special ones in store in the cute wall. Ladies and gents, here's Falulu!

Falulu

(cheers and applause)

Step right here, Your Highness.

She's not really a highness, is she?

Never mind. Let's have a talk with Falulu...

Right, let's deal with...Your Highness.

SEVERAL MINUTES LATER

Well, at least Your Royal Highness has left. Any thoughts?

Ugh. I was just talking to a vocal doll just like (growling) but she did told me something. She told me that she'll be giving me a royal treatment with her if I put her to the cute spot of the wall. So, I guess I should put her to CUTE where safe.

Well, if this is what Falulu deserves, be my guest.

(audience murmuring)

Hey, what's with that chatter?

Look!

Hibiki Shikyoin and Fuwari Midorikaze

Your Real Highnesses are here. Fuwari and Hibiki.

Oh my. Excuse me! Coming through! Pardon me! Let me through!

SEVERAL MINUTES LATER...

So, what do you think about these "royal highnesses" in the world of Pripara?

Can't believe fans got gaga over these royalties. Not sure why they are fan favorites on the Pripara series. Fuwari's nice but I don't think I'm in love with that Hibiki person. I guess I should put Fuwari on CUTE while Hibiki's on SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE.

Uh...think ahead before doing the verdict on these royals.

(audience laughing)

Oh well. At least we got all the Pripara favorites on the wall. Guess we have so little time left to deal with the other Aikatsu Stars gals. We only have five minutes left so here goes nothing.

Koharu
Nanakura

Ako Saotome

Mahiru
Kasumi

Thoughts about them? We got little time left!

Okay! Koharu's a modest type of student and a good friend of Yume's aside from Rola so it's a CUTE for her. Ako's a gutsy type who has a fierce opposition to Yume so it's a SERIOUSLY NOT CUTE for her, and Mahiru is a stylish type who wants to be just like her sister, who is a member of the elite S4. Not sure about her but it's a NOT CUTE for me.

(ding!)

Okay! Time's up! At least we made it just in time. Phew...

- Back to the imminent Marcos burial, two lawmakers proposed changing the name of the Libingan ng mga Bayani to end the debate on the hero's burial for the late President Ferdinand Marcos. US Vice President Joe Biden warned that Trump can't be trusted.

SIDE NOTE: The controversial Russian athletic team is starting to make headlines this day with Evgeny Tishchenko won the heavyweight boxing match and things get a lot dirty when an athlete from a reclusive nuclear state, Ri Se Gwang of North Korea, won the Men's Vault final. Like I said, should I consider North Korea's another gold medal win a "threat"? Sadly, this isn't the time to talk about it because we're still in the Olympics.

Onto the gold medal tallies, USA still leads with 26, UK got 16, China got 15, Russia annoyingly catches up to the top 5 nations with 11 golds, and Italy with 8 golds. The halfway point of the Rio Olympics is heating up really good (or bad).

A twister struck Manila last Sunday?

I saw in the news last night about a viral video of a twister struck the Metro Manila for a short period of time last Sunday. It got me scared and confused but still could be worse.

According to reports, over 300 homes and structures got damaged by a sudden twister or tornado, whatever they call it, passed through Baseco Compound, Sampaloc, Intramuros and Lawton.

Thank God, no one was killed, although some are hurt during a rare twister and the city government will do whatever they can to rebuild houses and buildings affected by it.

How twisters formed? A twister or a tornado is formed during super cell thunderstorms in which a column of air rotates counter-clockwise. The air adds speed in an updraft of the thunderstorm, and a funnel cloud forms. Once the funnel of the win hist the ground, a tornado was formed.

Let's hope things like this won't happen to day, I swear to God.
