The 2013-2014 Seattle Auto Show

From October 16 to 20, 2013, the annual Seattle Auto Show returns at CenturyLink Field and I am an avid annual visitor to this once a year event because of all the new cars featured on this venue. Here are some of the highlights of this year's show...

This is me, hanging around with the brand-new sportscar from Jaguar, the F-Type. The V6 model of the F-Type is more of a best choice for this car because...hey, you wish for this car to be more enjoyable rather than getting an overdose of too much power. It's still worth a beauty to drive as a grand tourer.

There's me sitting near the brand new Range Rover.

A sneak peek of a new 2014 Nissan Rogue, which is known known to be the brand-new X-TRAIL crossover...

A brand-new Aston Martin Vanquish was featured on this year's show...

A close encounter with the all new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class...

Me hanging around in the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro...

Washingtonians can't get enough with the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray...

\

Infiniti's new Q50 sport sedan was featured and yes, it's no longer a Skyline because of the report that Nissan will start selling the Infiniti Q50 in Japan this winter...

New Mazda 6 or Atenza is featured and whoa, I love this medium executive sedan because of its SKYACTIV Technology, KODO design, and the fact that it won the World Design Car of the Year against the Aston Martin Vanquish and the Jaguar F-Type.

The new generation Mazda 3 or Axela was displayed for the first time at this event.

Checking out the brand new 2014 Lexus IS in F-Sport trim

Are you ready kids? Toyota's H_ghl_nd_r (vowels blocked to avoid search query hijinks) Spongebob Concept on display!

And yes. There's so much more. I have more pics from this venue and you can check them out at my Facebook page.

Oh yeah, my YouTube playlist highlighting some of the new cars featured...

Well, that concludes my experience at this year's Seattle Auto Show. Hopefully, next year will be a lot better because hopefully, they'll be featuring the new Golf, the new Fit, the K900 (K9 in Korea), new Escalade, and whatever new models coming next year.

Toying around with Jake, Doc, and Sofia plushies

Now, here's something I can guarantee; I can guarantee that someone who reads this has a sibling or has a wife or their relatives had little kids under the age of six want to watch Disney Junior on their TVs. You did. I know you did. You let the little kids watching Disney Junior for long hours and when suddenly, most of the songs heard from the shows the kids watching stuck on your head and try and try memorizing it for the fun of it.

Here in this blog, I never do the growing up kind of thing. When we have kids, which in case my big sis has a baby boy, it's worth the hassle. When you see kids watching Disney Junior, you're feel free to be with them even though they're done for General Patronage's sake. However, I'm not talking about the whole "songs stuck in my head" stories...

I'm here because a couple of weeks ago, I bought our baby boy some plush toys of his favorite Disney Junior idols. I saw my big sis Elise let her baby Irvine watching some Disney Junior shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins, and Sofia the First. She did, I know she did but this is too much and now, most of the songs from those Disney Junior songs really stuck in my frontal lobes. Anyway, look what I bought for our baby boy...

It's Jake! From Jake and the Neverland Pirates!

Yes, it maybe a plush toy of Jake but overall, it still looks like him from the show our baby boy enjoyed a lot. Since our baby boy Irvine enjoyed watching this show so much, he really really likes it. Pirates is what little boys love to play as and that character really suits him quite well.

Okay, since I noticed that our baby boy Irvine watching some girly cartoons like Doc and Sofia, I bought along plush toys of Doc McStuffins and Sofia themselves!

Ignore that, they still look like them but hey, having plush toys of your favorite Disney Junior characters sounds fun if you have kids under the age of six.

A brave pirate, a toy doctor, and a princess-in-training, now that's what I called a holy trinity. Wow, Disney sure knows that their image isn't just all about Mickey Mouse after all...

See how our baby boy's enjoying with his DJ faves...

Oh! Oh! He's enjoying it! Wow, I never blogged something like this before...

Cars GT6 Should Put (Volume 14)

In a galaxy far far away, just off our backyard, lies Leopaul's Blog; boldly pushing the boundaries of car culture because there's some CARS GT6 SHOULD PUT.

Cars like...

1) BMW Z4 sDrive35is '10

WHY: Only the GT3-spec version of the second-generation Z4 was featured but what about the normal version? How come GT6 forgot to feature the normal second-generation BMW Z4? Please take this into consideration, Yamauchi-sensei, and feature the normal second-generation Z4, mainly the sDrive35is version, on GT6.

2) Renaultsport Megane 250 '10

WHY: Same thing. Why did GT6 only feature the track-only Trophy version rather than the normal Megane RS250 hot hatch? Come on, do something about it because we need this one more than the old 2008 model as seen on GT5.

3) TRD 3000GT

WHY: The TRD version of the hit Toyota Supra sportscar, the one JDM fans love, was first seen at Gran Turismo 2 and because this tuned Supra has so much fanbase on it since its GT2 debut, I really want this Supra back on GT6. The hood, the bumper, the aero kits on this Supra, it's widely sought-after among JDM enthusiasts and do please, bring it back.

4) BMW M5 '11

WHY: There's a new version of the M5 based on the F10-spec BMW 5-Series and this one's powered by a 4.4L Twin Turbo V8 engine which produces more power than the old model's V10 engine. Since power is in the case, I sure hope that GT6 should feature the M5 F10.

5) Volkswagen The Beetle '11

WHY: The 21st Century Beetle was released in 2011, signalling a new look to an all time classic and so far, no video games brave enough to feature the 21st Century Beetle. GT6 should do better than that in order to feature this modern remake of an all-time classic.

フォルクスワーゲン ザ・ビートル ターボ 試乗レポート/今井優杏

The results please? So, if Polyphony's still on the rethinking process whether these cars I've mentioned will be featured on Gran Turismo 6, whether in game or as a DLC, you can't say that I didn't had a bit to do with that.

Take that to Kaz Yamauchi!

BMW M5 F10 Competition Paket vs. MB E63 AMG W212 S-Modell

Let's begin with the BMW M5, a modern-day European sports saloon for the people who came home 4 in the morning, smelling of whiskey and covered in lipstick. Although, it starting to pick some paces for this latest predecessor, it's surely becoming the best M5 ever made. I had to admit it that the BMW M5 is definitely the best 4-door saloon car ever made and that's the end of it.

2014 BMW M5
Now though, BMW claimed that they made it even better. So, I wonder what's new for the BMW M5? Well, for starters, it now has a new design on its kidney bumper and on the top right, you can now see the M5 logo on it. That's odd but we all know THIS IS the M5. Why would they need to put a badge on the grille anyway just like the new M6? Anyway, a few things have been changed for the M5 to keep it fresh and now, it comes with a newer version what BMW calls it the Competition Paket.

It still has the 4.4L V8 Twin Turbo which makes a rather bland exhaust note and then faking it from the interior but get this, it's now enhanced so now it develops 575PS of power. This model is now 0.1 seconds faster in the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint and 0.2 seconds for the 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) acceleration. That sounds as electrifying as Oliver Skeete in an electric chair and judging by its fun factor, it feels a bit faultless. You can get yourself intoxicated by the sheer pleasure it triggers and no matter the circumstances, it still tries to leave a huge smile in a face. You can pull a few tricks just like what Yorkshire Stig used to do last year and with the right skill, you are surely manage to blitz through the assault course with its wild side.

Judging by the way how juvenile the version is, the Competition Paket is like turning a child star into a more fiercer, bolder, and more hardcore star that introduced the whole T meme. What was that? Oh yeah, it's Twerking of course. This car sure knows how to do the twerking and imagine if you see one parked near a preschool, that's a childhood worth ruining or enhancing. Don't tell me why...

2014 BMW M5

The Competition Paket made the BMW M5 more fun to drive but sadly though, it tastes like s**t when you drive one on the public roads. Think of it like...JoJo Tickle drank some pee no matter how purified it is. Seriously, can you purify your own wee to drink? That's disgusting but tell you what though, there is one thing worth worse than drinking a glass of wee and that's the M Dynamic Mode which makes the M5 more difficult to regain its handling and more chances to kill you if you're not careful. Just can you think of something that is worth dynamic and challenging? Well, there's the SLS Black, the VXR8, the Vanquish, the F12, there are so many cars worth dynamic and challenging and if you're a beginner, this is not the car for you so you better off with a hot hatch or a Porsche 911 with a mild driving feel until you're ready.

As dynamic as the cars I mentioned earlier, the new M5 with the Competition Paket is not recommended for the faint at heart and it's only made for brave people with some hair in their chests. It's the car made for people who want a bit of some "crash and burn" in their lives but there's something a bit more than this car....

2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

The latest version of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Like the M5, it's still not the car made for the shy type of persons and it's definitely a brave man's car if you're facing the YOLO word. Yes, you might get uncomfortable every time when you see the YOLO word because...well, you know but unlike the M5, the E63 is worth perfect and don't need the fakey exhaust sound gizmo on the stereo because of its bewildering exhaust note worth intoxicating. For the first time, it now features a brand new S-Modell which bumps the E63's 5.5L V8 turbo engine up to 585PS of power, 10 more than the M5 Competition Paket, and unlike the M5, the E63 S-Modell is four-wheel drive, making it a bit less complicated. 0-100kph time is now 3.6 seconds and top speed normally limited to 250kph or with the optional package, you can have the limit raised to 300kph.

It maybe four-wheel drive, it may have more power than the M5, and it maybe better looking than the M5 but sadly, the new E63 also has the same twerking trait as the M5 rival but it's a different kind of twerking because the E63 is starting to get more convincing and to do that, let's resort comparing the E63 AMG S-Modell to a totally different kind of league. Take this Nissan GT-R for example, while the E63 has more power than the GT-R, be warned that the GT-R has a better 0-100kph time than the E63 S-Modell and the E63 S-Modell costs more than the GT-R, by about 10,000 Euros. Hashtag? Sorry, can't tell what kind of hashtag will be but here's the word: 100,000 Euro German Sports Saloon with 585PS of power - gets raped by Godzilla. Ouch!

2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

So, it may not be a proper Godzilla rival but the E63 S-Modell sets the ultimate benchmark as one of the most powerful V8 sports saloons ever made and the BMW M5 can't get even closer because it needs to do better than that. Sadly though, even though the E63 S-Modell is the best saloon car for the bravest of the few, I wouldn't recommend it and instead, go for the Nissan GT-R. Why? It's quicker than the E63 S-Modell and that's the end of it. Case closed.

What's in our Car Town garage today?

2011 Nissan Leaf

The Leaf, launched in Japan since the end of 2010, signaled a new generation for Nissan to create zero-emission vehicles as part of their portfolio. It promises zero emissions thanks to the fact that it runs only in electricity, affordable pricing, distinctive design, real-time range autonomy of 100 miles, and connected autonomy. This car won Japan's 2011 Car of the Year, making it the first EV car to win such an award and it also won the 2011 World Car of the Year. There are so many awards and accolades garnered for Nissan's electric car.

2008 Ford Fusion

Launched in 2005 and slotted to the spot where the Ford Taurus left off, the Fusion midsize sedan is America's answer to its Japanese rivals like the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord. Although it is an American car, there's a bit of a Japanese touches on it because the base 2.3L Duratec engine was designed by Mazda while the transmission choices for the Fusion were actually sourced from Japan. Thing is though, despite all of that, the Fusion scored very well in the NHTSA crash tests and with airbags, it has scored positive results at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

2008 Ford Fusion

2013 Ford Fusion

Revolutionizing Ford's midsize sedan for today's trends, the brand new Ford Fusion is now made to be a global car under the One Ford approach. So global that Ford decided to sell the new Fusion in other parts of the world, especially Europe, as the Ford Mondeo. Although it may have the controversial Aston Martin-lookalike grille like every Ford model has, the brand new Fusion tries to stand tall from the competition and the top-of-the-line model with the EcoBoost 2.0L engine promises the power of a V6 engine with the fuel consumption of a compact car. The Fusion also comes with a hybrid or a PHEV under the Energi banner.
