Yumi's Cells: The Movie

After two seasons, the hit TV series Yumi's Cells made its way to the big screen as the titular cells were up against the biggest challenge of their lives to keep their host human Yumi happy.

Yumi's Cells The Movie

In the movie version of the hit TV series, Yumi decides to prepare for a contest after achieving the dream of becoming an author but she's starting to worry about the future. As the conflict between the cells intensifies, their beloved cell villages are at risk of euthanasia. It's up to Yumi to get herself back and regain her happiness.

Unlike the TV series it was based on, the movie version is focused solely on 3D animation, meaning it's basically a cartoon movie for the whole family to enjoy if they're into it. Still, even without the K-drama bits from the TV series, the movie showcased the peak of Yumi's Cells, showcasing the closure fans needed after the end of the show's second season.

Fans who've watched the rest of Yumi's Cells look no further to watch the movie version for the closure but for those who have not seen the K-drama, it looks fine. Either way, this is the peak of it. This is the Yumi's Cells everybody knows at Victory Road and it's time to give thanks to the cells that made it possible.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

COWABUNGA! The new generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has arrived on the big screen and it's an all-out, butt-kicking, laugh fest as our iconic heroes in a half shell, redefined for Gen Z, kick mutant butts in the streets of NYC.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:
Mutant Mayhem

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is an animated movie that features a fresh new take on the iconic cartoon heroes, featuring an all-star ensemble giving voices to familiar favorites such as Nicolas Cantu as Leo, Shamon Brown Jr, as Mikey, Micha Abbey as Donnie, Brady Noon as Raph, Jackie Chan as Master Splinter, and Ayo Edebiri as April O'Neil.

Even the rogue gallery of mutant villains got voiced by celebrities as well such as Ice Cube as Superfly, Seth Rogen as Bebop, John Cena as Rocksteady, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Natasia Demetriou as Wing Nut, Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom, and Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman.

This new breed of TMNT delivers a double hit of butt-kicking action and an endless barrage of jokes only Gen Z kids can truly understand, especially the scene Jungkook must not watch. Yes. Jungkook, please don't watch this because... "insert BTS joke here".

It's just like the Tales of the TMNT TV show a while back in so many ways. When the butt-kicking commences, the laughter begins and with this movie, the gags go full force all the way to their finale where everything starts to unravel.

Some would call it corny, most say this is the best TMNT movie of this generation. Sure, it is a corny movie indeed but we all love corny jokes. This is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, redefined for the Gen Z youth.

Get your popcorn ready, kids.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse

Miles Morales and his web warrior pals are back in the long-awaited sequel to the hit animated movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, and this time, he's on a mission to unite the web warriors as they're facing a powerful threat.

Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse
Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse is the long-awaited sequel to the award-winning animated movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, where it picks up moments after the first Spider-verse movie as Miles Morales returns for his newest adventure as Spider-Man.

In this sequel, Miles Morales is caught in a middle of a heated argument between the other web warriors as they are dealing with a powerful new threat no one's winning. Racing against time, Miles is on a mission to unite the web warriors and save the Spider-verse, whatever it takes.

Like the previous Spider-verse movie, the sequel still packs the same formula; comedy, drama, action, and moral values. The latter is what was championed the most in the first one and the sequel is no exception because this movie is all about the value of teamwork because, for the web warriors in this sequel, nobody wins if they battle alone and with the power of teamwork, superior numbers will win the day.

Because of the moral values that served as the top priority of this sequel, Across the Spider-verse is no doubt one of the must-watch movies ahead of the summer season, and those who have watched the first Spider-verse movie are looking forward to continuing Miles Morales' story in this sequel.

Trust them. The world, no, the universe needs more than one friendly neighborhood...again.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The world of Super Mario Bros. comes to life on the big screen and no, we're not talking about the completely flawed live-action movie three decades ago. We're talking about the 3D CGI movie made in collaboration between Illumination, the animation studio behind the Despicable Me movies, and Nintendo.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The animated movie adaptation of the Super Mario franchise brings the world's most iconic video game to life and to please Nintendo fanatics worldwide, the movie looks just like the games themselves but with a shocking twist; the voices. This movie stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Jack Black as Bowser, and more.

The Hollywood voice cast may have thrown a curve to the fanatics, which is a real shocker this movie delivers, but the classic Super Mario formula is alive and kicking. It hits every viewer like it collected a Starman and runs through all enemies. Cue the Starman jingle. Aside from the memorable moments this movie delivers, it packs some easter eggs that will surprise moviegoers.

Despite the use of Hollywood celebs to voice the Mario characters, this is the real movie adaptation Mario fans deserved as it behaves just like the games themselves. Cue the stage clear music.

Hello Carbot The Movie: Secret of the Suspicious Magic Gang

After wrapping up their twelfth season on the telly, Cha Tan and his Carbot pals are back to the big screen with their newest Hello Carbot adventure. It's their fourth movie!

Hello Carbot The Movie:
Secret of the Suspicious Magic Gang

Secret of the Suspicious Magic Gang is the title of the fourth Hello Carbot movie adventure and it follows the success of the previous three Hello Carbot movies with an eclectic mix of action, comedy, some tearful drama, and of course, new Carbots to summon from Cha Tan's Cube Watch.

In this latest adventure, Cha Tan and his parents are visiting a province to meet their grandparents while going out harvesting some watermelons. All that changed when Cha Tan encounters a young girl named Sam-soon while a mysterious UFO steals the watermelons and a mysterious magician was running a magic show...with a terrifying plot to take over the world!

In addition to familiar favorites such as Power Crewzer and of course, Pentastorm X (arguably the best version of the all-time best Carbot), this movie features two new Carbot friends, King Dozer and Green Farm. Which reminds us, these two should have been in the ninth season two years ago. What just happened? It's a secret but anyway, with King Dozer and Green Farm making their debut, this is Carbot adventure that saw kids and families standing up and cheering as Cha Tan and friends battle against a terrifying new threat and save the day!

Thrilling, perilous, hilarious, and tearjerking, these are some of the things kids would say after enjoying the latest Hello Carbot movie adventure and because it's one of the most successful Korean animation franchises, this movie is a definite talk in the town or talk in the classroom as expected as kids had a lot of explanation just how big and awesome this latest Hello Carbot movie adventure is. Whatever the reason, it's a big impression.

Minions: The Rise of Gru

The Minion rush is back in town as the origin saga of our ever-lovable Minions from the Despicable Me franchise continues with the secret origin of Gru, the boy who would become the world's most despicable supervillain we love to hate to hate to love. You get the point but it's here to drive families bananas. Get it? Bananas!

Minions: The Rise of Gru
Minions: The Rise of Gru

Minions: The Rise of Gru picks up where the original Minions movie left off as our favorite little yellow friends found themselves their potential master; the boy who would become the most despicable supervillain the world knows.

As fans get to know about Gru's origin story, The Rise of Gru features new kinds of Minions to love, including the Yellow Bunny Minion in one part of the film where the trio is facing a pack of beasts. Let's not forget Airline Bob as well. What? There are plenty of Minions to enjoy in this sequel, you know. There's no fighting about which one is the favorite, friends.

With hilarious Minion moments to drive them bananas, literally, this Minions sequel movie is almost as hilarious as the first one and it's an all-out cutefest that fans can't get enough of.

The Bad Guys

DreamWorks Animation has done it again with their newest animated comedy movie that delivers a stellar all-star cast in a movie about...the bad guys.

The Bad Guys

Featuring the voices of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, Zazie Beetz, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein, The Bad Guys is loosely based on a Scholastic book series by Aaron Blabey. It's about a group of...you guessed it, bad guys who are good at being...BAD.

Let's admit it, we all love crooks of all kinds because this is the new normal and good is no fun at all, and this movie reflects our obsessions with all things bad and notorious. With such hilarious moments, this movie makes ODDTAXI look like Zootopia or perhaps the exact opposite of what just said but whatever, this is an animated movie about notorious animal characters doing notorious stuff by all means necessary, and good luck trying to dress like them on costume parties or comic book conventions.

Like a mix of Zootopia, ODDTAXI, and Ocean's Eleven, The Bad Guys is one of the must-watch movies of the spring movie season and despite being family-friendly, no one can escape the sharp and witty charms of these bad guys because...it's good to be bad.

Space Jam: A New Legacy

In the summer of 1996, Warner Bros. brought us the most unique team-up ever spawned; Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes. In the original Space Jam, MJ teams up with the Looney Tunes to battle against aliens in a winner-take-all basketball match. It was an instant classic and that movie gave Michael Jordan the attention he deserved. In honor of Space Jam's 25th anniversary, the Tune Squad's back in the game and this time, a new hero enters the intergalactic basketball court.

Space Jam: A New Legacy

Call it absurd and weird but the newest Space Jam movie, called Space Jam: A New Legacy, pays tribute to the original movie while bringing this generation's GOAT to a whole new perspective. That's right. In the newest Space Jam adventure, LeBron James is chosen by the Looney Tunes to be their new basketball hero as the Tune Squad are back for another intergalactic basketball match, and this time, they're up against a more powerful alien threat where most of the basketball players Lebron and the Looney Tunes will face got juiced with alien powers. How hard can it be?

Most would say that this sequel couldn't match the charm of the original Space Jam but despite that, this film really is a homage to one of the coolest family movies of the mid-'90s. It's 25 years in the making and like the original Space Jam, the sequel movie packs all the laughs, the thrills, and a load of ACME stuff to throw at it, making this tribute movie one of the must-watch films of the summer, whether if you're at the theaters or everywhere with the HBO Max subscription alongside you.

Like it was previously said, this tribute movie can be downright absurd and weird in every way but this film really is a fitting tribute to the original. It's their way to celebrate the original Space Jam's 25th anniversary...or rather a way to make LeBron James be loved again by many in the same way that Michael Jordan did in the original. Either way, this sequel movie isn't really a sequel at all. It's a celebratory homage and you should be really thankful for this movie to hit theaters and on HBO Max.

Happy 25th anniversary, and welcome back to the Space Jam!

Disney's Frozen II

Six years ago, Disney brought the world a Thanksgiving treat for the whole family called Frozen. It's about Anna trying to overcome the odds to bring back her sister Elsa, whose icy powers enveloped her into isolation. Now, with Thanksgiving drawing near, the story of the two sisters continue in a long-awaited sequel that promises to be more magical and more enjoyable than the first one.

Disney's Frozen II
The sequel to the hit 2013 animated fantasy film made from the wonderful world of Disney continues the story of the two sisters Anna and Elsa as they are faced with a grave new threat that threatens the kingdom of Arendelle and they must explore further to save their beloved kingdom while uncovering Elsa's secret that will be the biggest plot of the film.

Like the original film, Frozen II is a spectacle of music, fantasy, and overall vibrance that delivers all the right emotions moviegoers need. With all the joy, sadness, and anger the film delivers, as well as some more Olaf mischief to cheer the moviegoers up, Frozen II is on the verge of being one of the best animated movies of the year and it really is the best Thanksgiving treat the whole family enjoyed.

Although it's obvious to call it "cute" by movie standards, the sequel earned a lot of love and respect just as the original did six years ago and that really is the bottom line.

My rating: 4.5 out of 5.

The Angry Birds Movie 2

Pigs and birds are always at war in the world of Angry Birds but what happens when these two rival sides join forces to take on a more powerful threat that could wipe them both out? This is exactly what happens in the sequel to the movie adaptation of the hit mobile app game made by Rovio which spawned a worldwide phenomenon that made them "angry" for more Angry Birds.

The Angry Birds Movie 2
With an all-star cast like Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage, Bill Hader, and more, the Angry Birds Movie 2 promises to be even more angrier than the previous film and in this film, cue the Game of Thrones catchline, winter is coming as a powerful new threat emerges to destroy both the birds and the pigs' homes. Feared of losing their homes, the two mortal enemies ended up joining forces to stop this powerful new threat and save the world. Yes, that "let's save the world, you jerk" feeling when two rivals join forces to defeat a common enemy. Sounds classic.

That odd partnership between the two rival enemies surely made it the biggest Angry Birds adventure yet and it's also one of the corniest animated comedy films you would want to laugh about because with all the humor that really leaves viewers a mild pinch rather than a heavy punch just as powerful as a pack of Angry Birds crash-landing on their targets, you can slightly leave yourself a not-so-big smile when you finished watching the film.

While some suggest that this is just another filler to occupy just another Friday on the summer movie season, there are some upsides about The Angry Birds Movie sequel as fans of the phenomenal franchise would agree and cuteness aside, the biggest of all is the clear lesson about it doesn't matter which side you're on, as long as you are working towards a common goal with your foes (whatever it means) to save the day.

Yes, everyone knows this lesson but this sequel surely knows how to leave families and fans with an angry smile on their faces that are more angrier than they where when they first saw the first Angry Birds movie. Not quite the ideal movie to watch this summer but if you are here for some animated laughs while trying lighten yourselves up with some mild cuteness (trust me, these guys aren't cute), consider this film set.

My rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet

Wreck-it-Ralph and Vanellope are back for the Thanksgiving weekend and this time, the wrecking duo are breaking through the biggest world of all; the internet. How hard can it be for the duo to crash through the information superhighway?

Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet

Ralph Breaks the Internet, the sequel to the 2012 Disney animated film Wreck-it-Ralph, sees our favorite duo of Ralph, the villain of Fix-it-Felix, and Vanellope, the heroine of the Sugar Rush racing game, break through the internet to find a replacement part to save Sugar Rush.

These guys sure know that they're going to break more than firewalls to save the game but there's so much stuff to talk about the long-awaited sequel to the film that caters even the most discerning video game enthusiasts. Video game references aside, Ralph Breaks the Internet features so many internet references we all know about. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, those emojis, this film had them all. There's even special cameos from Star Wars, Marvel superheroes, and Disney Princesses as well, making this film the ideal party crasher just as Vanellope crashes the Disney Princesses like a boss. Get it?

Compared to the Wreck-it-Ralph film six years ago, this sequel film still feels like the original but with so much internet references capable of wrecking our heads, this film surely wrecked our minds with joy, sadness, disgust, anger, and fear. Oh wait, that was from another film, but still, it was impressive to see all of the things viewers said about this film, creating a melting pot of what a Disney flick fit for the Thanksgiving weekend should be and above all, we really like it.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5.

Teen Titans GO! To the Movies

Teen Titans GO!, the hilarious spin-off to the DC Universe's own Teen Titans where the gang went into series of misadventures. They got stranded to the beach, going on auditions, hacking computers, avocado jokes, battle against Santa, Dance Party, road trip, Beast Boy's coming of age, they even face off against the series creators. What over-200-episode madness the Titans couldn't think of? So, when the Titans get themselves their very own movie, it's not a joke or is it? That's where the Teen Titans will find out in this hilarious movie adaptation of the hit Cartoon Network show.

Teen Titans GO! To the Movies

Yes, Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven finally got their own movie about them, trying to have their own movie like every superhero in the world got, which is more of a butt-in joke if you ask them, until a ruthless supervillain manipulates them into series of unfortunate stuff and it's up to the Teen Titans to save the day...and this movie they really wish to have.

Although this is basically a hilarious satirical take on superhero films that we have every moment, this film kind of shows the error of the ways and for a Teen Titans GO fan, it's downright hilarious for a superhero movie that makes fun to the superhero movie genre. While this is downright funny because of the signature jokes the Teen Titans blow from their noses just like what they did for the past 200 episodes, some would say it can be downright boring for a superhero flick. In fact, most of the bashers think that it's too redundant for a superhero cartoon flick and a bit too childish.

Call it boring, call it meh, or whatever you may, this Teen Titans GO movie is all about what's wrong with the superhero movie genre as demonstrated by the Teen Titans themselves who finally got the movie they wished for and because of all the jokes, consider this film a laugh out loud riot that will make you going to the toilet very complicating.

My rating: 3.5 out of 5

Disney-Pixar's The Incredibles 2

14 years ago, the world of Disney and Pixar introduced us to THE INCREDIBLES, the story of a family of superheroes band together to stop a fan-turned-supervillain from wrecking havoc in the metropolis. Years changed and this film became one of the all-time Disney greats and at long last, the sequel has arrived to see how much THE INCREDIBLES have changed since the beginning.

The Incredibles 2
After 14 years since the original film, the long-awaited sequel brings back The Incredibles in their newest adventure that goes beyond their superpowers. Following the events from the first film, things have changed for the family as Elastagirl gets a new job from an agency who wants to bring back superheroes back to existence. With Mrs. Incredible now back as a full-time superhero, the family are now adjusting to their new lease in life and while she's on her full-time job saving the day, the family are figuring out baby Jack-Jack's newest powers. Things changed but their ways of being Incredible are far from over.

Considered to be the perfect Father's Day treat, The Incredibles 2 really is a dream come true for all the Disney aficionados waiting for 14 years to see them back together for another stint and it's starting to take form that this film's becoming more connected as a family-oriented film rather than the first film, although there are some loopholes that hadn't been fixed from the start.

Call it above average if you may but no matter the result, it's been worth the wait for those itching to see The Incredibles back for more and in the spirit of Disney and Pixar collaboration, it's picking up to become a superhero flick that promises to be more family-oriented than the original.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5

My ten favorite PAF moments

Disney's worldwide animated hit series, Phineas and Ferb, is ten years old now. Yes, we know that show ended years ago but just because the show was ended years ago doesn't mean we have to pay tribute to out all-time classic cartoon show about stepbrothers inventing things from their backyard while Perry the Platypus, or should we say Agent P, spending the rest of the day kicking Doof's butt.

This classic cartoon show has spawned 126 episodes, 5 one-hour specials, and a Disney Channel Original Movie. It has been aired in 163 countries and translated to 34 languages, making it a worldwide hit among kids and kids-at-heart.

In honor of the show's tenth anniversary, it's time for me to jot down my ten favorite PAF moments

1) You know that one episode where Phineas, Ferb, and the gang are trying to be one-hit wonders? Yep, that's the one with the song that remains an all-time favorite among PAF fans everywhere. That song that goes ♫Bow-chika-bow-wowthat's what my baby says, Mow Mow Mow, and my heart starts pumping, Chicka Chicka Coo Wah, Never Gonna Stop, Gitchee Gitchee Goo means that I Love You!

2) In an episode titled :Lights, Candace, Action!", when Candace was chosen to be the star of a new movie, her luck got spiraled when Phineas and Ferb ended up being the film's director. Oh, there was one part of the episode where the boys are doing some editing process and you'll see a hint of Ashley Tisdale on it. Ashley, of course, plays Candace in this show.

3) In Comet Kermilian, when Jeremy's bratty little sis Suzy thrown a nut at the back of Candace's trousers, squirrels come attracting on her back and there goes the breakdance forever remembered by many; SIMP. That's Squirrels In My Pants.

4) At the near end of the Summer Belongs To You special, with time running out and a roadblock is blocking their way home, completing their near-impossible "round the world in a day" adventure, the gang spotted some rides to get home quicker and when Candace denies getting in the trike, Phineas yelled "Get on the trike!" That's the first we saw our favorite character getting mad for a brief period.

5) In the DCOM Phineas And Ferb: Into the 2nd Dimension, to stop other-dimension Doof from taking over the Tri-State Area, Phineas and Ferb entered Agent P's secret lair and in there, all of the inventions they did in the past are here and with the gang and all of their inventions keeping the Norm-bots busy, Phineas and Agent P gets to the rooftop of the ahem ♫Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated! for a showdown against other-dimension Doof. When things got bad, the real Doof appears and giving away his prized toy train to his other-dimension alter ego. With the other-dimension Doof finally calmed down and later arrested by the Resistance, things are back to normal and in the end of the film, to make sure Agent P won't be relocated to another family, the gang's memory will be erased using OWCA's top secret device. Oh, and before their memories of this epic day wiped out, Isabella kissed Phineas. There you go.

6) The episode Tip of the Day made us remember what is the tip of the shoelace, which is of course, ♫A-G-L-E-T AGLET!♫ This aglet song forever stuck in the heads of many PAF fans everywhere and thanks to this episode, everybody knows what is the tip of their shoelaces is.

7)  At the end of The Chronicles of Meap episode, they made a fake trailer gag about Meap's next mission but due to inconsistent public demand, the producers made it anyway and it's called Meapless in Seattle. In that episode, Meap summoned the gang once again as they're taking on against his archnemesis, Mitch, before gaining control of a mysterious power that will make the possessor cute enough to hypnotize the entire universe. Still, the episode learned us that even if you possess the ultimate power that will make you look cute, you will be out-cuted by Isabella's cuteness. Simple as that.

8) The Nerds of a Feather episode got Phineas and Ferb involved in a word war between fantasy and sci-fi geeks in a middle of a convention. While the two got involved in a war of fandoms, Candace attends the convention in her Ducky Momo mascot, trying to keep her childhood fandom hidden from Jeremy. One hilarious bit of this episode is the commemorative Ducky Momo plate with the words "I HATE PEOPLE". So much for Candace's childhood favorite.

9) A favorite for fans of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, the Live and Let Drive episode is the one where Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May guest starred as racing commentators while Agent P joins the race as he tries to stop Doof's plot to sabotage the race with his inators.

10) A dream come true from a certain PAF fan, the episode "Act Your Age" imagines what it will be like when Phineas, Ferb, and their pals were teenagers. In that episode, Phineas is in a middle of a hard decision if he wants to be in the same school Isabella attends or not. The climax of this episode hits the sweet spot fans have been longing for because, you guessed it, Phineas kissed Isabella. It really is worth the wait.

Happy 10th anniversary to our ever-favorite creative stepbrothers! Did you know that there will be a special Milo Murphy's Law episode where Milo and the gang meets Phineas and Ferb?! Watch for it this year!

Disney-Pixar's Coco

Last summer, Disney and Pixar gave us their fast-and-furious third installment of Cars and it shows that if you want to get back to the top, you need to stay motivated. It was quite a dramatic installment, isn't it? Now, Disney and Pixar are back for Thanksgiving to give us a heartwarming take on a Hispanic folklore that will captivate the hearts of many moviegoers.

Disney-Pixar's Coco
This is Coco and this is one of the most heart-warming family movies to watch in the holiday season. It's about a young boy named Miguel who wants to be just like a famed musician named Ernesto de la Cruz even though his family prohibits music for ages. Searching for his true potential, Miguel ended up on the Land of the Dead and in his supernatural journey, he encounters a trickster named Hector and they set off in an adventure of a lifetime to uncover his family's hidden past.

In typical Disney and Pixar fashion, Coco never fails to impress the cinema goers with the unique theme focuses on the Hispanic tradition of Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, the colorful backdrop courtesy of its master stroke of animation expertise, the characters that will soon become memorable for the whole family to remember, and the morale that touches the hearts of many. Of course, being new in the list of Disney-Pixar roster, it's difficult to get accustomed to this new kind of family movie because at first, we are getting unfamiliar with how the film progresses but the more we starting to realize, the more we starting to get used to this new Disney-Pixar movie and in the end, it's a story worth sharing for the whole family.

Yes, unfamiliarity is the least of the problem but there's the biggest problem for all, impatient ones. Right before Coco starts like pretty much every Disney-Pixar film in theaters, there's a short film and for this, we get to see Olaf's Frozen Adventure short first before Coco and right after the short, your cinema meal's all out before the movie start and you don't have much time to watch the whole movie, even when your inevitable CR break kicks in. Despite that, Coco is a very interesting family movie to watch in the holiday season because as the theme suggests, it has that "remember me" feeling you and the whole family would enjoy.

The Star: The Story of The First Christmas

Every religious people know about The Nativity but no one heard about the unsung heroes of The Nativity until now...sort of because the unsung heroes of The Nativity were...animals and in this animated film from Sony Pictures Animation, we get to know about the other heroes who saved The First Christmas.

The Star

In The Star, we get to know about the unsung heroes of The Nativity, the animals who saved Christmas from a wretched tyrant who wants to gets his hands on the Holy Child. It's about a small donkey who steps out from his comfort zone and into his biggest adventure of his life as he teams up with a sheep named Ruth, a dove named Dave, and some other animals he encounter later on as they set off to follow the Star and save The Nativity.

What we have here is a proper Christmas movie for the religious of families who want something that isn't about snowing, or Santa Claus, or gifts, or whatever Christmas cliche they come across. No. What they really want is a Christmas movie that centers on the true meaning of Christmas in the form of witnessing The Nativity even in the eyes of the animals who became the unsung heroes of The Nativity, no matter what lays ahead with them.

Of course, with all that hilarity ensued like most typical cartoon films we are used to, and its above average potential that will charm moviegoers with their characters, that won't stop moviegoers from watching a proper Christmas movie about the First Christmas, even families who spend their kids binge-watching Superbook all day long before setting off to see this film. With some humor, some potential, and some lessons we can all share it from, The Star is a Christmas flick we can really watch if we had it with those usual Christmas cliche and I think they're on to something here.
