THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: NoKor fired two missiles

According to the South Korean Defense Ministry, North Korea has fired two missiles on Friday morning, with one of them flying about 800 kilometers before landing in the Sea of Japan.

The North fired what appeared to be a Rodong mid-range ballistic missile from near Sukchon, north of Pyongyang, toward the Sea of Japan at around 0555 hours Korean Time. They also fired another missile from near Sukchon, 22 minutes later, and it disappeared from radar after travelling about 17 kilometers.

Two years ago, the North launched two Rodong missiles to coincide with the US-South Korea joint exercises.
