THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: Largest US-SoKor joint drill commences

The largest joint military drill commissioned by the United States and South Korea has commenced in the wake of North Korea's fourth nuclear test and the recent launch, which believed to be an ICBM.

About 290,000 South Korean troops and some 15,000 US troops are taking part of the drill, which runs until the end of April.

The US military is sending a carrier and F-22 stealth fighter jets to the drill. This year's drill will be more close to an actual battle as usual. It includes intensive training, such as marines coming ashore from the sea, and practice of advancing inland in North Korea. There are also map exercises on command and control alignment.

The Korean Peninsula condemns the latest US-SoKor joint drill and most of the North Korean military have shifted to their pre-emptive attack phase. Last week, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reported that his country will ready their nuclear weapons by all means necessary.
