- Most parts of the world, including the United States, have observed a so-called Super Blood Moon for the first time since over three decades. A rare combination of the so-called Super Moon and a Total Lunar Eclipse is the last eclipse of the year and the last of the 2014-2015 lunar tetrads. Those who didn't had the chance to see the rare Super Moon Total Lunar Eclipse may have to wait until 2033.
