- Snowmobile and ATV manufacturer, Polaris, unveiled their 3-wheeler machine known as the Slingshot. Set for 2015 release, this three-wheeler is powered by a 2.4L Ecotec engine developing 173HP of power and 166lb-ft of torque while mated with a 5-speed gearbox.

- The live-action Attack on Titan movie will spawn two installments.
- The Japanese Government will initiate the removal of 580 foreign pirate sites illegally uploaded anime and manga contents on the web without copyright permission, starting this 1st of August as the government will send request to sites-in-questions to delete illegal uploads.
