Let's Do The News! (May 30, 2014)

Things we learned so far...

- For the first time since 1962, there was a tie at the final round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee earlier. The names of the tied champs? Ansun Sujoe and Sriram Hathwar. The word they spelled? "Sdrucciola." and "Augenphilologie."

- Disaster movie master, Roland Emmerich, and Dean Devlin will be in charge in making a Stargate trilogy of films based on the 1994 film of the same name, courtesy of MGM and Warner Bros.

- Meanwhile in Chicago, the crack on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower caused visitors and tourists to panicked. Officials said, it's safe despite a frightening crack on the ledge. The statement told that the protective coating that layered the glass in this popular attraction is cracked and not the glass itself.

- Missed the special NBC interview of Edward Snowden? Watch here and be aware of what possible threats to global security Edward Snowden will foretell.

- In the middle of Australian politics, here are some stuff that the Tony Abbott administration have done and be aware of some stuff this administration had done.

- Farewell to the tortilla car (the one what Top Gear bashed on it a few years ago): Poor management and insufficient funds caused Mexican car maker, Mastretta, to cease production of the MXT sportscar. If that name sounds familiar to you, it's because of Top Gear bashing about this car a few years ago.

- In the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office, actor Vhong Navarro attended at the preliminary investigation of the third rape complaint filed by some "stunt double" against him. Both the plaintiff and the defendant attended the hearing but tensions sparked upon the arrival of Roxanne Cabanero and Deniece Cornejo's grandmother.

- Meanwhile in Japan: there was a Japanese commercial for the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class crossover with some Super Mario bits in it. Mamma mia!

TTFN!!!
