For the first time in MMFF history...

For over 37 years, the Metro Manila Film Festival never disqualified any of the pinoy movies that were entries to this said festival. However, the year 2011 mark the first. The first MMFF entry to be disqualified was the movie "Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow", which was produced by Regal Films.

Yes, that movie made by the hands of Mother Lily Monteverde became truly the first entry to be disqualified from the Metro Manila Film Festival. Never believe it? This was MMFF's first disqualified entry for almost four decades! Now, this movie stripped off its " Best Picture", "Best Director", "Best Screenplay" and "Gatpuno Antonio Villegas" awards. So, why did that film disqualified? The violation was deviated from the script.

The MMFF rule was that if the script's approved, you will not make further changes. Gosh, that made Mother Lily so worried, she thinks that "she will not to take part for next year's!" and that made me sad.

Okay, enough now. What matters most that most MMFF entries are heating up such as Enteng ng Ina Mo, Panday 2, Segunda Mano, Shake Rattle and Roll 13, My Househusband, Ikaw Na!, and Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story.
